Host was very rude when I asked for a table for one. I suggested eating at the bar and he said very haughtily that they do not allow eating at the bar when they are on a wait. WHAT? I agree with the guy who said they want you standing around drinking and feeling grateful you are in the door
This is the kind of restaurant you like when someone else is paying.
Very good food but way too noisy, too crowded, dark like a cave (people using cell phone flashlights to read the menu). Way too expensive for what you get. Won’t go back
Absolutely PItiful for the Price. CC’s City Broiler is one of Columbia’s most expensive restaurants. And i gotta say, it’s not worth it. Not even remotely. I managed to sample some of their dishes, namely a shrimp dish, some steak, scallops, and a curiously large amount of asparagus. There’s no way that steak was the quality advertised with that texture, the shrimp was gigantic and not handled properly for it’s size, the scallops had an off smell and i didn’t dare to try them, and the asparagus was bland and undercooked, possibly due to the fact that for some reason they were using the biggest pieces they could get their hands on.The restaurant has several quantity over quality practices, and doesn’t even come close to meeting it’s fine dining reputation. If you charge over $20 for a plate and can’t even match the standards of G&D’s Pizzeria which is in some instances HALF THE PRICE, you’re doing something very wrong.
I like CC’s but tonight it wasn’t up to the standard that I thought they held to. I ordered a The Super Strip, which is my favorite steak. It came out well done as apposed to the medium rare that was ordered. The second steak then came out medium. I ate and it was good but disappointing as they couldn’t get it correct either time. We were then comped our desert and my cheese cake was still frozen in the center, I informed our waiter and no explication was given. I also found myself asking for refills of our drinks several times, which is not the norm. Hopefully it was just an off night for the usually epic dining experience, but I thought our experoence should be shared as it wasn’t the caliber we were paying for at $120 for a table of 2.
FABULOUS!. My husband and I eat out for every meal. We absolutely love CC’s. My husband has to eat steak wherever he goes and CC’s is his favorite. We thought Gordon Ramsey’s steak in Las Vegas was his favorite until we had CC’s. The service is great too. They always make you feel special. I almost hate to write this review because it would be nice to not have a long wait every time, but it’s not fair to the restaurant. They do a good job and should be proud.
