Noooo!. After reading the great reviews on this place I was excited to try it, but after placing my phone order I began to regret it. The gentleman that answered the phone didn’t seem friendly at all. When I picked up my food I had items missing and no plastic ware (it’s take-out only) and also may have been charged twice for an item. As I placed the food in my passenger seat it began pouring all over my car, due to the lid not being on. Half of the meal tasted like a microwaveable meal. The naan wasn’t soft at ALL and the chicken in our meal didn’t taste like chicken. I ended up just eating the rice(it wasn’t even basmati!). I’m not a food snob, I was just extremely disappointed. This place does not deserve the high reviewer rating it has.

Flavorful Indian Cuisine. I greatly enjoyed my Chicken Tikka Masala, very flavorful and they gave me enough food for two people, servings are large. Their mild is just a tad bit warm, the way mild should be. Didn’t have to rush for the milk. Curries is take out only, but they gave me a nice box to hold it all in and in good quality containers (no styrofoam). I love the complexity of Indian food, the couple of guys working here are doing a good job representing Indian cuisine. The man who greeted me was very friendly and showed me around the menu (still kind of new to Indian food). Also ordered the garlic naan. It had okay flavor, but seemed a little old, not fluffy, kinda cold and chewey. Not sure if they make it there.. But other than that, I would defiantly go back to try more.

An Indian Savior!. As an Indian food junkie, I was thrilled to see that Columbia has three Indian places. After being disappointed by both Taj Mahal and India’s House, I really really hoped Curries would satisfy my Indian craving. I’m very pleased to say, it’s pretty freakin good!!!!A few caveats: This place is about as divey as dives go. It’s tacked onto the edge of a Bates motel-esque establishment and the sanitation is…questionable. Also, the prices are a bit high (~$12/entree) and they’re only opened for supper. If you aren’t scared away by the above, then you’re in for a great Indian treat! My wife and I ordered the Malai Kofta and Palak Paneer (our standards for judging an Indian restaurant) and both were on par with some of the best we’ve had. Their roti was also superb! Portions are very generous. One entree can easily fill two people.Bottom line: If you can get over the appearances, this place is solid! Finally, I’ve found good Indian food in CoMo!

Terrible. The food we got was greasy, with unidentifiable bits and pieces floating in it. We LOVE Indian food so we understand the style and we have high expectations. The Naan was also greasy. The service was uncomfortable and rude. We had to wait a whole hour, and we were the ONLY people waiting for food. The men behind the counter were talking among themselves, laughing, sitting, smoking, drinking coffee, not very concerned with getting our order ready. It’s also in a very creepy place. Hidden at the end of a motel, in a room that smells like burned grease and cigarette smoke. Maybe it has become better, but I won’t be going back.

Great indian food. Curries is hands down the best Indian restaurant in Columbia. We’ve tried the other two places here in town, and they just don’t compare. I really think you’re paying more for a sit-down dining experience at Taj Mahal and India’s House. Curries is only to-go, but everything we’ve tried is delicious. We try to pick different items every time we go, and we haven’t been disappointed yet. There appetizers and sides as just as delicious as their entrees. I would definitely recommend.

Super awesome! The food was plentiful, and was very tasty. Far and away the best Indian food i’ve had. I will be going back again!

Excellent! Go there!. I have gone to Curries several times now and have enjoyed every experience. They are the best Indian restaurant in Columbia. Great dishes with good portions, and pretty fast. Note that they are not a sit down restaurant. Take out is what they do. The inside of the restaurant consists of a counter and two chairs. I think there is a picnic table outside if you want to eat there.I recently had them cater for my wedding. They fed the 250 people in our reception chicken tikka masala (classic Indian nonvegitarian dish) and palack paneer (spinach and cheese curry) as the main dishes, with rice and naan (flat bread). Everything was exceptionally well done, even in such large quantities. We got tons of compliments on the taste and originality of the food. And the price was a third of any other possible catering cost! The owner did an excellent job catering to our needs. He even brought us some complimentary spicy pickled veggies and some sour cream.Highly recommended.
