Wow. For a company that supposedly cares about there employees I Am shocked that they are making there employees work during this storm while businesses all around are closing. Pretty poor job by upper level mgmt if you ask me. Employee safety has to be considered as well, come on five guys
Good Burger. A good hamburger and exactly what I was looking for when I arrived. A helpful woman at the counter helped navigate me through the menu and explained what’s up. My wife and I split the fries at her recommendation which was plenty of food.
Decent. Five Guys gets a lot of praise for a fast food restaurant. If you treat it as a fast food restaurant and consider it’s competition to be piss holes like McDonalds, than yes, it is a very good spot. That said, it is sorely overrated. For the price i can name five better spots in Columbia. I mean don’t get me wrong, i’m glad there is another spot that lets me put sauteed mushrooms on my burger, but the lack of any form of combination discount is a very stupid practice in my opinion.
Vinegar. Learn it. Love it.. Honestly my favorite part of Five Guys is that they actually have vinegar in the store. I’ve seen a few people in Five Guys very confused about why there’s vinegar. Here’s a secret I learned growing up in Vermont, from local burger shops and burger vans: fries are delicious with vinegar. Something about salt, potatoes, vinegar and frying is just perfect. Tart, sweet, and savory, all in one. Another fine example is salt and vinegar chips.Five Guys is the only burger/fries chain I’m aware of that actually has vinegar.The burgers? Yeah, they’re tasty, in an I didn’t realize I was ordering a football of ground beef, too many toppings and my bun is falling apart in my hands, kinda way.
Fast Food Review. I am not usually one to write a review over fast food but after a trip to five guys I figured why not. Prices above average with portions to match. Good quality food cooked right. One of the best of the fast food restaurants.
My grandmother always said if you can’t anything nice about someone, don’t say anything but I will say 2 trips in one.
Good but overpriced. Burgers and hand cut fries ARE very good. Small order of fries is enough for 2-3 people. But a burger, fries and a drink will cost you over $10. The same combination at other Columbia spots (equal or better) will cost $2-3 less.
