Hard to find but good food. They are located on the second story of an old business. Food is great, but I spent some time trying to find them. Had to call to get exact location. street side parking may be hard to find and hard to back out of.they do a few of the varieties of Chinese cooking to accomodate the students but not necessarily Formosa/Taiwan style. The owners are from Fukien Province which is across the straits from Formosa
Upstairs?. Sometimes you have to look for good places to eat. This was not the best place I have ever ate but I will go back again. Definately worth a try.
Not bad. I decided to get some carry out at Formosa on a business trip. I ordered the hot and spicy shrimp. The shrimp were good sized and they came with an ample garnish of shredded carrot, bamboo shoots, green onion and celery. It was very tasty and nicely spiced. I would have liked to see a few more shrimp, but I usually think you should get more than you do.I did get a look at the place when I picked up my order. It’s actually on the 2nd floor, overlooking Broadway Blvd. It’s nicely decorated, even if it is a bit dated and the lighting is muted. The guy working the counter was a young man with a punk appearance, but he was polite and had the food ready to go. I give it 3/5 stars.
I tried this place a couple years ago, and didn’t care for it… but I’ve ordered delivery from here multiple times lately, and I love it. The prices are reasonable, and the food is great!
I have been going there for 2 years and I have not found a dish I don’t like yet. It’s a great place to eat and the location is great on the second floor.
Nice location, lousy food. It’s a landmark, and I get the idea that at one time it was much better than it is now. Everything we had, though, was overcooked, underseasoned, and essentially tasteless. Apparently they’re good for lunch, but dinnertime was essentially empty (not a surprise, given the food).
Delicious food try the strawberry chicken it is amazing.
