The owner and staff in this place are amazing! They truly value their customers and in this age of corporate owned cookie cutter restraints, that means a lot to me. I absolutely love the entire experience when I eat here. This is my favorite place to eat.
A Columbia Staple. There are two restaurants bearing the name G & D in Columbia. Both have their charms, the G & D Steakhouse has perhaps the best gyros in town and some of the most skilled grill men, while the pizzaria has the distinct honor of having the second best pizza in town and at a very good price. $15 more or less will get you two one topping pizzas, and the gyro pizza is definitely worth it. Everything else is fairly good, the burgers are only marred by bad buns.One very important note. Columbia, being a college town, has a hideous tendency towards bad service in a lot of it’s restaurants. This pizzaria is an exception, i have never once had bad service at the G & D Pizzaria and i have been eating there since i was capable of eating solid food more or less. In fact the only complaint i can level is that for some reason while Diet Dr. Pepper is listed on the menu they don’t actually have it on tap. A very minor gripe. Go eat there.
Some pretty great food. I meant to take a picture of my gyro but it was too good and I dug in before I remembered. Definitely advise a try if you are in Columbia. I can’t comment on the dining service as I took my food to go but it was pretty busy and there was a wait, so that most translate to good food… Though you’ll have to wait a bit for it. So delicious.
Me and the man went on a dinner date. was yummy. i had the reg. cheese burger it was under 10 bucks. really good
Must visit when in town! Great pizza and steaks!! Awesome family with wonderful service. They make you feel like you are home…..
It’s just okay. We opted for this place because we got to Murry’s late and it was a 45 min. wait minimum. I had an 8oz. Ribeye and wife had trout. Not the items to order at a pizzeria! Saw the za’s customers were eating and they looked very tasty. We also shared a Greek salad which was blah. If you go here, stick with pizza…I haven’t had it but it looked good.
