I’ve never had a bad meal or negative experience here. In fact, it’s always been enjoyable. The food is consistently good, served at the prefect temperature and always in a timely fashion. The staff and owners are kind and attentive. It’s a cafeteria setting, but when you’re dining at G and D it certainly doesn’t feel or taste like a cafeteria. No offense to the big corporate steakhouses (I enjoy going to those places occasionally) but I don’t understand why people prefer to spend so much more money for ambiance when the quality and taste are quite comparable. My G and D favorites are a nice steak and baked potato, Philly cheesesteak and a gyro or tasty souvlaki. Their tzatziki is perfect.
Great food, Better Atmosphere, Awesome people, on a budget, doesn’t get any better then G&D. I Love this place, and the people more. If you’ve been there a couple times they will even know your name. The food is really good. The price is so reasonable even a hungry collage kid can afford to eat there, and the People are great. Its like being part of your own big Greek family.
This place is great. My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to take my mom when she came to town, nothing fancy. It was our first time and let me tell you, this place is great! It’s kind of a dive as far as looks but the staff and the food are the best I have had in Columbia. These people are so friendly and you can cut the steaks with a fork. Not to mention the amazing greek dishes as well. We love this place and will definitely be going back.

The Smell of Grilled Steaks Will Lure You In. Every time I go to Best Buy I can’t help but be lured in by the smell of grilled steaks outside of G&D. It’s a simple, family-owned place, but don’t let the lunch room trays fool you, this place has some great steaks. Most of the time I get the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich with their killer steak fries. Generous portions at a great price. Don’t let the simplicity fool you, this place is legit. This is definitely a locals hangout.
Lunch Break Savior. As an employee at a certain blue and yellow electronics store, G & D is amazing food within arms reach. On a corner mostly occupied by fast food and mall food, it’s so great to have a place that you can sit down, have a great dinner, and get back to work on time. The burgers are clutch, and the gyros are so fresh that I have to take them back to the break room and wait for them to cool down enough to eat. The super nice staff just puts the icing on the cake. Thumbs all the way up, keep up the good work guys!
