Dinner at IHOP?. Haven’t had dinner at IHOP before but I was game. To my surprise the place was packed last Monday night. Is it this way always? Breakfast time–it always is. We were taken to a table and brought our drinks. Most of the interiors of IHOP are the same. Of course the A-frame buildings are long gone, or at least it has been about twenty years since I was in one. I wanted the citrus chicken pecan salad, wanting something not too heavy as late evening was approaching. This was just what the doctor ordered. Field greens, orange segments and candied pecans. All good! My friend had the spaghetti and meatballs. He liked them a lot. The portion for him was such that he was able to turn it into three meals!Jordan was our server and as it so happened was IHOP’s local lead trainer. She did a stunning job and has a sparkling personality. We couldn’t have left happier. I will have to consider IHOP for dinner more often when I am back at home.16 Dec, 2014Citrus Chicken Pecan Salad. Refreshing salad. Nice healthy option.

Things are different here than in Kansas City. . For one thing, they put their syrups out on the tables, something other I.H.O.P.s havent done in years. Second of all, they have a wider and better menu selection. Manager said that there is not a uniform menu for all I.H.O.P.s and that the owners are free to make their own. It was GREAT to have Swedish crepes with ligonberries once again. If they bring back the Crepe Suzettes and the German pancakes, I will think that Ive gone back in time to their original days when both the I.H.O.P. and the Original Pancake House were known for their international pancakes. Sadly I.H.O.P. purged their menuEXTREMELY busy on Saturday, Sunday and holiday mornings
