  Almost Korean food.. If you’ve never eaten real Korean food then you will like what you are served at this restaurant. I lived in Korea for two years and I love and miss real Korean food. This restaurant comes close but thats it. If you want good Korean food you’re going to have to leave Columbia.

  This place is often understaffed, but is one of those holes in the wall that are highly sought after. The quality of food is amazing, amazing fresh food, and a quiet and calm atmosphere.

  Great Food…Poor Waitress. My wife and I went to this place this evening for our anniversary dinner. We have been here many times in the past and the food and service has never failed to impress us. Tonight was different. My wife ordered a soup and I ordered a seafood hot pot. Both dishes were excellent. For an appetizer we had kimbap. Nothing wrong there, either. As a matter of fact, we only had two real issues, one fairly minor and one major:1) The banchan that is served with the meal used to be refilled for free at the diner’s request. Tonight when I asked for some more, I was told there would be a charge for more. Granted it’s been a while since we’ve been there, but when did this change? Not a big deal, but just a bit disappointing.2) One of the things that we always love about this place is the impeccable service. Tonight’s service was barely adequate. Our server took our orders just fine and brought everything out in a fairly timely manner, but after that we were on our own and things went south. She walked by numerous times and didn’t so much as ask how things were, how the food was or anything. I left my empty glass at the edge of the table to request more soda and it was ignored. The one time she did stop by our table on her own, she turned off the heater for my hot pot. I did not ask her to do this and did not want her to do it, but before I could say much, she was gone. Just as I was going to flag her down to get a refill on soda, ask about the banchan and extra napkins, lo and behold she comes to our table with the check! I haven’t even gotten one refill the whole dinner and she’s laying out our bill to get us out of there! Now, I know what you’re thinking…she must have been swamped, right? Not in the slightest. There were THREE tables active in the whole restaurant, and one of those tables was being attended by a male server! What did she do mostly? Stand at the front chatting with the other server.This was the worst visit we have ever had at Kojaba. We’ll be back probably, but we really hope there is someone else working the tables.
