Mad Cow vs. Five Guys. The comparison between Mad Cow and Five Guys seems to be inevitable. Pricing is somewhat similar, topping options are similar as well, but let it be said that you could be compared to worse things than five guys. Having eaten at both…Mad Cow is superior. Five Guys has better buns, admittedly Mad Cow phones it in when it comes to the buns, but everything else in Mad Cow is better. Better meat, better cheese, better toppings, better cooks, and better value in my opinion. As far as the fast food incarnation is concerned Mad Cow is the best burger spot in Columbia.
Great place to eat. One of the best burgers in Columbia. Very affordable! Fries are some of the best in town too. Nice and helpful staff.
Great burger- fresh and delicious but the server was grumpy and unhelpful and the fries were ldrowning in salt- I had to throw mine away because they were just in edible. Will be back for a burger but definitely take out next time

Better than Five Guys. The best burgers I’ve had in Columbia, though I have yet to try Booches.I will admit I have a bit of an axe to grind, because I think Five Guys are really overrated and they’re always opening a ton of restaurants around local burger places I enjoyhere as well as back in Florida. I wish Fulbeli’s were still around. Support your local restaurants, guys.Edit: I guess this was more an anti-Five Guys diatribe than a review. Um, sorry. Go herethey have good burgers. If I don’t sound particularly enthusiastic, it’s because I’m halfway across the country from my favorite burger (Char-Hut, small Ft. Lauderdale-area chain).
1st time we have been here. Facility was clean and tidy. The guy behind the counter, Patrick, was extremely helpful and very nice to us. The burgers were good, although the meal was a tad expensive. The have an angus option, and cut their own fries which were awesome. We will be back, current promotion is free fries w purchase Monday and Friday after 4pm.
