The best food in Columbia. Room 38 has a very unique menu and an equally unique atmosphere. I eat there every time that I am in town. The staff is always friendly and quick and they seem to update the menu often which makes each visit novel.

I finally found an upscale young professional spot! The food was great and the crowd very diverse unlike most bars in Columbia.

Room38 experience. I’m new to the Columbia area and got recommended this place by a family friend. Swung by sometime last week for an early dinner (heard Happy Hour is until 6:30 so had to see what that was about) and my mind was blown! The edamame and dumplings for starters were to die for. Cooked to perfection. Had the salmon skewers for my main course which was also delicious. Our waitress was very sharp and not to mention good looking. Had a nice discussion with the owner who was very welcoming as well. Their wine list and specialty drink menu was ideal. Would recommended this restaurant to anyone! Would definitely like to check it out at night sometime, looks like they are set up for a party.

Atmosphere was nice and the food was tasty. Reasonable prices.

Service was friendly & timely. The atmosphere is more bar like, but not bad. The chicken queso dip was amazing!!! The blackened chicken was really good & the heaping mound of fries were good as well. The shrimp diablo was inconsistent from shrimp to shrimp, some where insanely spicy & some were bland & tasteless. The polenta wasn’t t that great, I probably wouldn’t get this dish again. The gooey butter cake was just ok, not that great.

Yuk. This place tries to pawn itself on being high scale. Do not be fooled!!! The service was bad and seating was uncomfortable. The food was mediocre at best. The only thing high end was their price.

Very small lounge atmosphere, only a few restaurant style tables as seen in the pictures, but inviting environment. The food was really good, slightly pricy but manageable. Waitresses weren’t attentive, so was disappointed in the service. Definitely would like to go back.
