Great. This place has the best ice cream, my favorite being honey lavender. I’ve only had one bad experience here with freezer burned ice cream. I brought it back and was given another scoop.
Not worth it. While my carrot cake ice cream was pretty tasty, the whole experience was trashed by grumpy staff, small portions, and high price ($3/scoop). I like to go local, but Cold Stone is a far better option for my money and time.
Soft, melty ice cream. I used to be really in love with Sparky’s (see previous review) but have to be honest, after a few recent visits, I’m less than in love. I still like the vibe of the store and the unique flavors but the past few visits, I’ve found the ice cream to be way too soft and melty. The second you get handed the cone, it’s already melting and dripping. It makes eating the ice cream a mess and you have to inhale it before it ends up all over your hand and floor.09 Jun, 2011My favorite place in Columbia!. Sparky’s is amazing! Uprise brownie, ice cream, hot fudge, caramel, whipped cream, and as many types of toppings as you want!
Red Velvet Cake Ice Cream!. The Red Velvet Cake ice cream is amazing. So is the cookies and cream, mango, white russian (21+), coffee, oh so many delicious flavors. I love the artwork on the walls and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I love Sparky’s!
Awesome. A really great and funky ice cream shop. What makes Sparky’s so fun is their wide variety of flavors. Helped me get through those long Missouri summer months.
Sea salt chocolate is the best. Wish they had it more often. All flavors are awesome. Always take my brother to Sparky’s when he comes into town.
Love it!. Sparkys is my favorite ice cream place in Columbia for good reason, I’ve been there many times and never ordered the same thing twice, and they’ve all been delicious. While their standard flavors like chocolate and vanilla never disappoint I would suggest trying some of their combinations that you couldn’t get anywhere else, they’re generally awesome. I particularly like their lemon poppy seed, which tastes like the ice cream version of a poppy seed muffin. All in all Sparkys is a must try if you’re in Columbia!
