First time to the Texas Roadhouse in Columbia. They did a good job and the steak was really good. The potato and corn were perfectly made for my tastes. If I could list one complaint it would be the low lighting level. It is just really dark which made it hard to read the menu and made me even sleepier after such good food.
they only have room to seat 2 parties larger than 6 at one time, based on company design, so you have to wait. Not large family friendly. so dark my 80’s mother couldn’t read the menu. had to tell the waitresses to bus the tale before serving the entrees to have enough room to eat. first order of pork chops were so salty I couldn’t eat them. 2nd order of chops were so bland I refused to eat them. Ribs were over charred. Kitchen screwed up 2 other orders for a group of 10. Very noisy. were there for my birthday, I will never eat there ever again. Manger tells me the company is NOT interested in serving large groups as they take too much time and the company loses money as they want to turn over the tables as quickly as possible. They are all about the profit and not about the customer.
We eat at Texas Roadhouse at least 1-2 times a week. I love steak!!! You cannot beat the price especially on Wednesday when they have the 11 ounce Sirloin for only $9.99!! We take a long time to eat since I have to cut everyone’s steak etc. 1-2 hours. Never feel pressured to leave. If we ever have a problem, it is taken care of right away. I call ahead since we want a certain spot. Never have to wait long that way. I also go to other places with good steaks, but TRH is the least expensive.
