AMAZING DESSERTS. I couldn’t decide because everything looked deeeelicious and it was. The flourless chocolate cake was dense and rich and the scones are moist and buttery. i highly recommend this hidden gem. However……please open earlier!!!!! There is nothing like a good cup of coffee and a scone to start the day but 9am is quite a late start.
Decent. Really excited about their Asian desserts (the pastries with red bean) and the macarons. The macaron flavor I had wasn’t that great and it was kind of gritty, I will have to try a different flavor next time.
Lovely!. After a nice dinner at Bangkok Gardens the other evening my partner and I walked across the street to finally check out U Knead Sweets. It was 8:30pm and I was stuffed, but the allure of hand made desserts was irresistible. I AM SO GLAD WE WALKED OVER! U Kneed Sweets is amazing on all fronts. Not being able to choose just one dessert I walked out with: Chocolate Flourless Cake – I have dreams about this cake. Having almost the consistency of the middle of a Butter Cream Pie, this cake is the perfect chocolate treat. It’s dense and rich, but light all at the same time. It’s everything you’ve ever wanted out of cake and more. (Approx $4.95)Chocolate Macaroons – I love Macaroons, but more importantly I love making Macaroons. These little cookies can go wrong very quickly. U Knead Sweets has a vast array of Macaroons from Strawberry, Chocolate, Lemon and even Gluten Free options. They were perfect. While being hard on the outside the cookie is chewy when bitten into. (Approx $1/each)Almond Twist – Better than a biscotti and dusted with cinnamon sugar you just simply can’t go wrong. (They weren’t expensive I don’t remember the price)My partner opted for the lone Oreo Bon Bon. I’m not a huge fan of Bon Bon’s because of how sweet they normally are, but this one was actually not bad at all. The individuals behind the counter were very nice and willing to answer all my questions. We walked out with our loot for under $10. The price is right and so are the desserts. Do yourself a favor and go gets some sweets!
A good idea. Finally, a place that does cupcakes right. A good variety of desserts so you’re sure to find something that perks your interest. As another review states, sometimes it just falls short compared to the price. These desserts are expensive and they look fabulous and while the taste is good, it just doesn’t seem to be a great value. This place has become a more occasional place if I’m nearby and craving something instead of a regular stop.
Bummer. I was so stoked to see a dedicated dessert place open in CoMo. However, U Knead fell short of my expectations. My wife and I ordered the black forest cake and the salted caramel cake. The former was fine, but lacked the richness and delicacy I expect from a $4 dessert. It was marginally better than what you would expect from a high-end grocery store cake. The salted caramel cake looked the part of a patisserie-esque treat, but fell way short in the taste department. The caramel on top tasted like it came out of a can and the actual cake really lacked the refinement required of a $5 dessert.Bottom line: Not worth your money. U Knead charges high-end prices for mediocre desserts.
LOOOOVE!!!. So the hours are posted now! I think the owners where trying to figure out which hours work best considering they are a new business. And yes, not many specifically breakfast items other than croissants and scones (which are probably exceptional), but an after lunch or dinner dessert it hits the spot! I had a peanut butter dome, and would recommend to anyone! Def a reg at this place!!
