Good, not great. My wife and I stopped in here for a couple of desserts. Their selection is not very good and the prices are a bit steep ($2.75 for brownies and cupcakes that are medium-sized). However, my apple muffin and her lemon bar, while not exceptional, were both quite tasty. The environment is…interesting. It’s attached to the ragtag cinema, so it has a definite hipster/indie vibe.Bottom line: I need to try lunch here, but for desserts, it’s okay. Selection is sparse and prices are a bit high, but the food is pretty good.

By far, the best bread in town.

Great cookies!. I love the cookies at Uprise, for the most part they’re soft and chewy, exactly what a cookie should be-though disappointing if you get a hard one! Cherry or cranberry chocolate chip is my favorite. The cupcakes look amazing but beware, they’re underwhelming. Grilled cheese is OK, lots of cheese but nothing too impressive. Marinara goat cheese plate is delicious!

If you can look past the horribly pretentious scenster crowd that flocks here the food is really quite great! Absolutely the best Cuban sandwich I have ever tasted! The bahn mi is to die for as well. But they also have a plethora of vegetarian and vegan options as well. I have like every soup I have tasted of theirs even some that had ingredients I normally don’t enjoy! Also, their quiches are better than my grandmothers, although I would never admit that to her! Don’t even get me started on their draught and bottle selection… I’ll only use one word: awesome! Plus it’s great that you can tale your brew into the RagTag movie theatre and sit on comfy couches to see the latest indie film! Again, if you can look past the snobs it’s a fantastic place for a GREAT meal!

Wonderful breads, if you haven’t tried the quiche or pizza, you definitely should.

Brunch, yay!. So glad Uprise has started serving Sunday brunch! Fun atmosphere, friendly staff. And Mimosas! 🙂

By far the best bakery in Columbia. Breed is excellent, and the scones are world class. (better than Balthazar in NYC). For breakfast, both versions of biscuits and gravy are very good. For lunch, the Cuban is as good a sandwich as you’ll find in Columbia. Also recommend the iced coffee.
