The other day I popped in to Uprise Bakery for brunch. I was pleased with the menu, and prices. The food was average, but i do see myself returning.
Ehhh…. Popped into Uprise today for lunch, first visit. Ordering was confusing: a broad, vague menu is posted and a more detailed menu is located at the cashier so it’s kind of awkward to figure out what you want to order (I felt) because the cashier seemed to be tapping her foot while I figured out what I wanted. My kale + potato soup was really good. The bread on my sandwich was fantastic but the other ingredients were forgettable. I originally ordered my food for dine-in but realized as I was waiting for my order to come out that clusters of dust were falling onto myself and other customers and likely into everyone’s food from the the moving ceiling fan/filthy ceiling above us. GROSS! I thought about canceling my order entirely but they had already prepared it so I got it to go. Probably won’t be back anytime soon.
