Authentic Canollis !. Sadly, I’d only eaten the American sweet, custardy canolli, so when I saw this, I didn’t know what to think. Sure enough, it is the authentic Sicilian canolli! It was fresh and delish! So glad I didn’t get what I was expecting. I will definitely be back for dinner!!
Had a party there on march 10. About 20 were served well. Antipasti plate,salad,spaghetti amatriciana, roast chicken with Rosemary and a special dessert from vanda. I thought I was in a trattoria in Rome . Got to be THE most authentic Italian restaurant in KC. Everything is authentic and old world. Can’t make it to Rome for dinner; go to Bella Napoli
This place is not consistent, I went there for first time a friday night with some friends and was delightful!!! The most delicious home made pasta I ever had and I live in italy for several years, I came back the following monday with my boyfriend and I had the special 5 dllr pizza was OK but he got some pasta and was horrible super cold no flavor! hut what this place is consistent is in having HORRIBLE service first it was this girl that seems was drunk and next time another girl that ever came ask if we where doing ok …. we decide not to go back again !
Happening Place. Bella Napoli is a happening place at lunchtime. The neighborhood crowd and local business people fill the place up with greetings and laughter while they lunch on terrific soup, salads, pasta and sandwiches. My meatball panini was world class. The service was fast and friendly. If I wasn’t so anchored in the suburbs I’d move to Brookside just to be close to Bella Napoli.
I LOVE Bella Napoli! The sandwiches, the Rigatoni Amatriciana, the Crostino Romano, all favorites of mine, but the pizza…The Alessando (pancetta and artichoke) is probably my favorite pizza in KC second only to the special pizza with cherry tomatoes and arugula I had a couple of times last summer. Monday night is $5 pizza night; it’s super-busy, but it’s fun to have a glass of wine while you wait. Also, I must mention the deli/grocery area. A great selection of meats, cheeses and pastas. Love, love, love Bella Napoli!
It is the number one Italian restaurant in KC. Authentic. Like family. The food is consistently excellent. A slice of Italy in our backyard.
OMG eat a sandwich. This place is the real deal. GREAT Italian sandwiches. Good little market, too. I just wish it was bigger! I live in Dallas but whenever I am in KC I try to stop here for a sandwich before the long drive back. Seriously good stuff. And the staff are friendly, chatty and full of humor. It’s refreshing to see people enjoying what they do.
