I’ve been here a few times and liked everything I got. You get so much food for your money. The service was good and the atmosphere is unique. Everyone should try this place at some point.
A complete rip off. Food wise, there is nothing bad about it. The food was fine, but nothing special. The atmosphere was a little intense. Way too much stuff going on, very noisy and very warm. the tables were just pop up tables with a cheap looking plastic gingham table cloth. We felt like we were in a church basement. That staff was fine, out waitress was very nice. The food was out quickly. The worst thing about this place is that they nickle and dime you. Everything is ala cart. So you will pay $20-28 dollars for three pieces of chicken, and it doesn’t come with anything, no bread, no salad, no small side of pasta, no that is $10-25, extra for each item. The quality of food is just slightly better than olive garden, but at least you get all you can eat bread sticks and salad. Next time I want to drop this type of money, I’m going to go to a fancier, classier restaurant, like Lidia’s.
So so so good. I can’t believe there are any negative reviews. I guess it is because nobody who likes an experience takes the time to write about it. I’ve always loved this place and went there several times with large groups. They always have amazing food. The service has its good days and its bad days, but it is worth it for the deliciousness you will experience even if service is slow or bad. We even chose to have our rehearsal dinner there the night before our wedding and it was so perfect. We had a little room to ourselves and several waiters/waitresses dedicated to our group. We often go for special occasions like our anniversary. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Horrible service. I had never been to Bucca before and was so excited to try it. Everything on the menu looked great! But, the evening was ruined due to a waiter with a horrible attitude. He seemed distracted when we were ordering and kept looking away as we were talking. He did not take us seriously (we are 17/18 year old girls) and had a rude tone. He also seemed very annoyed at our method of payment as well. We ordered our food and our waiter came back 10 minutes later and told us the restaurant had to be shut down due to plumbing issues….gross! He gave us the option to get carry out, but we discussed it and decided we didn’t want to give our money to a place like this. Not going back! Too bad….it sounded so good.
In the isle. Last Saturday, was our first time there. Great location, on the Country Club Plaza. We made reservations online. They seated us 20 minutes late. We did not ask to sit in the bar, but with a table of 10, we landed there. They put a couple of tables together, but three of our chairs were still in main exit isle. After 15 minutes, many people went by exiting and bumped our chairs. (Including one of those wide baby strollers.) Finally, two of our party moved out of the isle, and made all the people in the booth scoot together to accommodate them. Our waiter disappeared and seemed unaware of the problem. Maybe the waiter had a couple of rooms to wait on? Certainly none of management was around and aware. Two of us remained in the isle with chairs like those that you sit in on your patio. They are rod iron and hard. The appetizers did not come until after our main menu items. They took the appetizers off our bill, and we had an online coupon that helped. They should have asked us if we wanted to sit in the bar. We had a baby with us, and were celebrating my daughter’s birthday. They should have told us that with a party of 10 they could not handle it. They have limited seating. In the place, the other tables I saw seemed to be for 4 to 6 parties. The lasagna was acceptable; the other pasta dishes were medium quality at best. Fazzoli’s seemed better! Certainly cheaper. We left without desert. The bar was loud, our butts were tried of the chairs, and the booth was crowded and hot.
Overrated experience never again. Me and my wife went to bucca for our date night tonight and the place is expensive and overrated and there was a stench that we didnt like it smelled like eggs and mildew so we vowed never to go back heads up dont get the ceasar salad its nothing but iceberg lettuce covered in parmesan
Loud, unusual pictures on the wall you may not want your children to see. Everything is alacarte and expensive. The rosemary potatoes were good but were $10.00. The Veal Marsala was tough. If your coming for the food- forgeddaboutit.
