What a great restaurant. It’s very cozy and not overly loud inside. The servers were all very attentive and friendly. It did take a while to get our food, but I have no problem with that since it was the best Indian food I’ve ever had. I had the vegetable samosas and lamb korma. The lamb korma was simply amazing. I’ve never had lamb that is so tender and juicy and the korma itself was so flavorful. I also had the pink chai, which I really enjoyed as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Went here with my wife for lunch. Service was great and food was fresh and deeply flavorful. I ordered the spiced lemonade which tasted like eggs (I feel like this is a cultural thing that I don’t understand). The food is so good that I am ignoring the drink in the rating 🙂
Lady Pitts. Wonderful dining experience food was beyond delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. I could have sat all evening just enjoying the aroma of all herbs and spices. In the air. This is a dining experience you will not forgot!. The food is Just delicious!
Awesome… Was visiting my daughter this weekend& she suggested Chai Shai for lunch. Food was so good, atmosphere was very relaxing. Can’t wait to go back the next time we go to KC!!
RIP OFF!!!!!. RIP OFF!!! YOU CAN GET MUCH BETTER DESI FOOD IN KC!!! I honestly don’t mind giving the money for a good satisfying snack. I went into chai Shai to get the samosa chat as a light appetizer. It was the WORST rendition of a chaat. Not authentic at all. They threw in a bunch of chickpeas and some tomatoes with a small itty bitty fried dumpling that can’t even be called a samosa because there was no filling in it. I seriously got like 2 bites and it was done and I paid $6 dollars for that. By far the biggest rip off. I suggest if you want an authentic Pakistani/Indian snack to try to go somewhere in the OP 151st area. They will give you good portions for less than this and you will actually enjoy it!!
Went today at the suggestion of a family member and BOY Oh BOY I’m glad I did! It’s easy to mistake this little Brookside gem for just another coffee shop but its a trip to India in the middle of the map. I had the beef samosas with the green chutney…have you ever seen an adult literally lick their fingers after every bite?! Guilty as charged. The flavors were the right combo of spicy, sweet and minty from the chutney. Definitely a new culinary fave!
