Mad Jack’s use to be my favorite fish place until last week. I called in an order and arrived 12 min. Later, I was told that it would be ready in 15 min. Once I received my food I noticed that the fries were cold and looked old, so I asked if I could get some fresh fries and the cashier along with the owner told me no. You can’t replace some old fries that you gave to a customer?? I’ll never step foot in that restaurant again!!
My favorite place for fried fish!! Their catfish is my favorite. Mac n cheese is ok; I would suggest their Cole slaw. You can call in an order and go through a drive through to pick up, very convenient.
Great food and value. After reading many reviews, I had to try it out. It lived up to the recommendation. We had the fried catfish filets, walleye and butterfly shrimp. The shrimp were perfect — big and cooked right. The catfish was my favorite, but I’ve always loved it. The walleye wasn’t great, but not bad either — a little greasy. We didn’t get sides because I had read that they aren’t that tasty. My husband went to pick it up; he waited about 10 mins., but they cook to order, so I can live with that. It was still super hot when he got home. Oh, and the order came with white bread slices and some sauces, too. We’ll definitely return!!
Update 9-8-2011 Fish still awesome, sides blech!. Ate carry out from here last night. The basa and shrimp are simply fantastic! I have now tried the coleslaw, red beans & rice, greens, & mac and cheese and I can do without any of that. How do they make fish that good?!11 Jul, 2011Ate at the food truck-Awesomness!!!. The cole slaw side-blech! The basa and fried shrimp-awesomness!!!! I am going to have to tempt my husband into doing some carry out soon!!
