We Love Niecie’s!. We have been enjoying the delicious food and excellent customer service here for years. They are known for their fried chicken and it is not without cause. The chicken is crispy and juicy and always piping hot. We love the chicken and the breakfast menu, but have yet to find anything on the menu that wasn’t good. One of the greatest things about Niecie’s is the staff. They are friendly and efficient. We have been taking our now two year old to Niecie’s since he was only a few weeks old. The staff is always welcoming and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant!
I’ve been going to nieces since they were on 59 the and Prospect the service has always been great up to no on two seperate occasions I attended the restruant and was treated very rude the young lady working the morning shift was very rude and disrespectful to me and very flirtatious with my guest who is very happily married she not once refilled our coffie or water when refused her sdvances also was very arrogant and rude to me I don’t know this young lady personnaly but wonder is this the service now offered at nieces this happened on two seperate occasions ?
User reviews. I’m always looking for good food, different food, and love me some soul/southern food. Niecie’s did not disappoint in the taste and selection category. I had chicken and waffles, and peach cobbler. Thumbs up on the meal, but the crust on the cobbler was a bit undercooked in spots. Had to take the service with a grain of salt, our waitress was working. She was a little ‘short’ in responsiveness, but she was getting the food out to her tables as quickly as she could, and she was actually quite nice. I would definitely revisit!!
Super Friendly, Terrific Down Home Food. Chicken and Waffles are suddenly all the craze, maybe due to the Food Network. At any rate, if you want to try a terrific version of this classic pairing, I highly recommend Nieces. But venture beyond it. Try, for example, the amazing fried catfish. That fish is right out of the water, gutted, breaded in cornmeal, fried hot and crisp, and there on your plate. It’s real food, prepared by people who are committed to celebrating and preserving great food, soul or not. What I most love about Nieces is how welcome the staff makes you feel. This is a KC gem, and if you’re in the area, I urge you to stop in and try a meal. Breakfast is all day.
Was not able to order white meat chicken with waffles so had to order fried chicken dinner with full order of waffles. Chicken was just okay & meatloaf just average… Disappointed!
Great service, agreed. We came Mothers Day and it wasn’t too busy – we all ordered fried chicken and it was excellent – hot moist and crispy. All sides were so so – wish the mashed potatoes were hotter – candied yams too sweet for our taste; but chicken and service – and great prices – will have us coming back.
Geat Food & Service. Service is great. They make you feel welcome. You really get full of great food.
