What a shame…. Great restaurant with great food, cute place with a down to earth look and feel… but the service and attitude of those who are working there leaves a lot to be desired. This is disappointing because their prices are so reasonable, but I left there feeling like I would rather just go down to Avenues Bistro (again) and eat the same favorites that I always eat (and pay a little more money) because everyone there is so nice and it is not worth it to me to try new food and save a few bucks if I have to be in a negative environment to do so. You would think that a place that only has 4 tables seated in the dinner hour would really have a personable staff who attempts to make sure customers are enjoying their dining experience. Not the case. What a shame…

Lucked into the Lobster Roll special today! Fresh and delicious.

Oak 63. Really like the atmosphere of the place. Their Parmesian Artichoke Bake was a treat was the new Steak au Pouve. I usually order the Steak Frites,a ribeye with their great fries, but the filet with whipped potatoes was a nice change of pace. Reasonably priced too. And it was half-price wine night.

Food good, ambiance excellent, service questionable. Very nice improvement on the ambiance compared to Cafe Maison, the former tenents. Food tasted good and wasn’t unnecessarily exotic though somewhat skimpy portions. Would have liked to have seen the butter served in something other than those little mini peel back thingys-in other words they need someone that is big on the little details to work some of the minor details out. Everyone in our partys courses did not coincide time wise. The server wasn’t sure about several things and had to check and the owner, rather than making a round around the room to check on any inconsistancies was lollygagging behind the bar expelling huge guffaws visiting with friends which carried throughout the intimate dining room. Sorta my take on it. Can this lack of attention to the small details keep them from succeeding? Time will tell. I can not say that I didn’t like it-BUT do I like some other restaurants as well or better and am I more likely to frequent them? Time will tell.

A Real GEM. Great…I wish the owners were more welcoming and excited that they had repeat customers. Due to the limited menu they should be making there own condiments , etc… Plus, there new hours are really disappointing.
