It was a late night pick up dinner from Papu’s cafe. After 9 pm, we drove up to the gas station with an empty stomach and an almost empty gas tank. We parked the car in front of one the pumping station and started feeding the car. We were not sure whether the cafe be still be serving but we took our chances as the timing said till 10 pm. My husband went in to check for service. They had started cleaning up but were still serving. So I swiftly went in ordered a take away. In the meantime, my husband filled in the gas.I ordered a appetizer platter with hummus, baba ganoush and falafel with extra pita. And a falafel sandwich. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. After a few minutes our order was ready to go. The aroma coming from the warm food filled our car and it became difficult by every passing minute to control our hunger. We quickly made our way home, got the table ready and dined in.The food was delectable, the bread was warm, with smooth hummus, smokey baba ganoush and crispy falafel. The sandwich tasted wonderful with bits of lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes and crunchy fafafel. We had a delightful dinner.
