Pleasant lunch and filling. Make sure you ask for the house bread, interesting white/pumpernickel mix. Classic omelet (turkey, spinach, brie and tomatoes) which was huge and came with fries (weird but I guess it was noon). Friend had the Dutch baby and I think the pancake was too dense. Other friend had the bison sliders which we all loved. Interesting dishes and I would go again. Staff was friendly, always refilling drinks and food came out fast.

Delicious breakfast spot in the plaza. Wonderful service and atmosphere.

I don’t understand why this place is so popular. We don’t go here often, and when we do, I’m reminded why. Service is not good. Wait staff is not friendly, abrupt, and give the vibe they don’t want you there. From the hostesses to bar tender to waiters, nobody smiles. Do they all hate working there? Our food took forever to come out, while others who ordered after us got theirs. When we did get our food–I had Thai chicken pizza–it was cold. If looking for local dining spots on the plaza, hit up Gram & Dun or venture just a few blocks north to Westport where there are more and better options.

I think they need new cooks.. My husband and I went out to brunch looking forward to a RARE baby-free meal, which made our visit even more disappointing. As soon as I cut into my eggs benedict, raw egg white squirted onto the plate. I try not to be picky, but I just couldn’t eat raw egg white. Unfortunately, our server didn’t return to our table to check on us for quite awhile, and my husband was halfway through his meal by the time he did.. I told him the issue, and he asked if he wanted me to have them remake it. I thought that was odd because clearly I had not touched my plate–what else would I want them to do?! My new entree didn’t take long at all, and the eggs were cooked perfectly, but it was still lackluster. The hollandaise had little flavor (Eggtc.’s is much better.), and I literally could not cut through the English muffin it was so hard on the bottom. We also ordered a pancake, which they are ‘known for.’ It was one of the worst pancakes I’ve had. A home box mix is better than what they served us. It was chewy and flat as a…well, a pancake! 🙂 I recall their pancakes being much fluffier in the past.Probably won’t go back anytime soon. There are much better (and cheaper) brunch places in town.

Terrible. One of the places. Do not go!!!! My husband and I are both chefs. It took us 30 min to get a bottle of wine. The bottle we originally ordered they didn’t have so they brought us something close. The mussels were dry and over cooked and had way to much garlic. It then took another 15 min to get our entrees. I had the full rack of lamb medium rare. Half if the rack was medium and the other half was well done. The asparagus was charred so bad the tips crumbled when I touched them. The potato cake was cold and charred on one side. My husband had the duck special medium rare. It was over cooked charred. Both of the dishes had no seasoning at all and were barely warm. When we said something the server said I will get the manger but no one came. There was no discount and when we asked for our check the server forgot we said the food wasn’t go and asked if we wanted to bring the food home. Over all one of the worst places I have been in a long time.

My family and I had a terrible experience. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The staff was extreme stuck up, unwilling to help, and seemed very hurried to get us out of the restaurant. The restaurant was very slow. I couldn’t believe how awful the customer service was, we couldn’t wait to leave and will never return and absolutely never recommend. We went to another restaurant down the street and told them about our experience at classic cup, they weren’t surprised. Might want to work on customer service… Very very poor and rude. Will tell others to stay away.

Date Night Gone Wrong. Our night started with online reservations to The Classic Cup. When we arrived we were promptly seated, although told that someone would be by in a minute with menus. We though this was a little odd, but not a big deal. We waited for around five minutes as other diners were seated and given menus, but no one stopped to inquire as to our needs. Again this could have been overlooked had the restaurant been busier than it was. I eventually flagged down the hostess to acquire menus. Finally our waiter arrived, he did appear to be waiting tables outside as well, so we tried to be understanding of his promptness. We ordered the Risotto and Rabbit Ragu and 2 glasses of wine. Our waiter disappeared and after around 10 minutes our food arrived. We found it very odd that our food appeared before our first glass of wine. The risotto was very poorly cooked, it had the texture of steamed rice, a very common mistake of the average cook not to be expected out of a $12.00 appetizer at a nicer restaurant. The rabbit was overcooked to the point that it was sticking to our teeth. I will say the flavor of the dish was wonderful, I was using the bread to sop up the juices. Our wine finally arrived and unfortunately whoever poured it must have been in a hurry because it was spilled all over the glass. To be honest this is when we should have left the restaurant. Our main courses finally arrived. We ordered the Grilled Duck and Braised Pork Shoulder. Everything on the dish with the Braised Pork Shoulder was inedible. The pork shoulder was cold, the hard green salt balls they tried passing off as Brussels sprouts were completely awful. The only redeeming part of this dish was that the potatoes were hot. The Grilled Duck was cooked perfectly and had great flavor, but again the spinach was like a salt lick and the asparagus was very under cooked. We promptly asked for the check and left. If the food had been amazing the poor service could have been overlooked. Do yourself a favor and light $78.00 on fire instead of eating here I can personally guarantee it would be more satisfying.
