A little shocked. A truly lovely, though not extravagant, Mother’s Day Brunch (buffet). Absurdly expensive for the quality of service and options. Oh yeah, they also felt the need to include the gratuity on the bill for two adults and a child. Yep, pretty shocked.
Nice hotel breakfast. Truly enjoyed the Eggs Mulligan this weekend and breakfast in general was top notch. Poached eggs over a bed of corned beef hash with Hollandaise Sauce. A unique and wonderful combination served with crisp hash browns. Even the toast was memorable. The rustic, whole grain wheat bread toast had great flavor and texture. Elegant dining room, great service. Portions were large and hearty.
Pretty pricey but if you want a special place for someone special you’ll get royal treatment here. It’s not a favorite of mine, much too formal and stuffy, but my Dad loves to be treated well and we’ve enjoyed a couple of lovely lunches here. (Actually the place was incredibly better when it was the Pan-Pan room!!!) (or was it Pam-Pam?)
