The Oliver @ the Country Club Plaza in KC is lovely restaurant. My husband and son both had the O Burger. They gave me a bite and we all agreed that it is one of the best burgers we’ve ever had. The perfect seasonings and caramelized onions make this burger quite tasty. I had the Chop Chop salad with chicken. The dressing was a vinaigrette that was light and citrusy. The addition of garbanzo beans, chunks of chopped cheese, and edamame beans kept the salad constantly interesting with both flavors and textures. The furnishings are modern yet cozy making for a very pleasant meal.
This place is owned by Bread and Butter concepts, who also owns Gram and Dun, which I like. This place was interesting and reminded me of Gram and Dun a little bit. We tried the cheddar popovers and the pork nuggets for starters, the pork wings and red snapper taco platter for entree, then the strawberry shortcake and limoncello pudding for dessert. I really liked the red snapper taco platter, the fish was seasoned well, light and fresh. The pork wings were huge, very tasty and fell off the bone so easily. The desserts were tasty as well. I wasn’t quite as happy with the cheddar popovers, but the pork nuggets were good. Our server was good, very knowledgable with just enough friendliness and attentiveness. It we a pleasant experience with overall, but it didn’t really stand out to me. It is worth a try for anyone interested.
