Best breakfast. Awsome burgers onion rings everything else.Love the breakfast!Baby you need a warmup?Yes doll I do.You are the greatest.I can read the paper and chill, thank you.I always get pampered at this place. Always!Breakfast is always perfect, combo over easy bacon rye, nice!I always feel better about myself and the world when I eat here because they are polite, attentive, sugar sweet like the south should be, keep my coffee hot. Food is so good, sometimes you just need it.Thank you Winsteads!!

This place is a dump. The service staff is so stupid they can’t figure out how to run a credit card and instead of entering it manually the just tell you its been declined then when you call you’re bank to find out the problem and they tell you nothing is wrong you realize its just the incompetence of winsteads employees. I will never go back to a winsteads as long as I live.

I’m surprised at the low percent of likes. What are you people expecting? It’s a diner and drive-thru with cheap burgers. You’re not going to get service like Ruth’s Chris down the street. The onion rings are delicious, and the root beer floats are fantastic. This particular winstead’s is always PACKED during lunch hour, so if your schedule is flexible, try to avoid that rush.

Good for the money. This was your typical burger joint. I don’t eat hamburgers, so I ordered the crispy chicken on top of a salad. It was not phenomenal; however, I was satisfied. My boyfriend ordered the hamburger and frenchfries. He said that they were great- especially the frenchfries. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly. Food was made fresh and served quickly. We ate an early lunch (around 10:30am) so we were seated right away. If you don’t expect anything gourmet, you should be happy with your meal here.

Authentic Diner, breakfast Ok. Evidently this is a local institution and I love the Art Deco Streamline building and neon signs. Right near the Plaza and Atkins Museum. Now granted, I did not come here for their famous Steak burger but their breakfast was unremarkable, although fine and simply prepared. I got the Combo Breakfast*for 6.25Your Choice – Grilled English Muffin or Toast.2 Eggs, Toast, Hash Browns, and choice of Bacon, Ham or SausageDane got the Blueberry Pancakes for 3.95 which were tasty. If I went back I’d not go for the breakfast as it simply was not filling enough nor exceptional, although we loved the sweet waitress we had!

Drive thru comfort food – only when necessary. Good ‘fast-food’ – this is the closest I get to a chain like Wendy’s

Winstead’s is classic kansas city. thin steakburgers require at least a double. they are very delicious though. the fries are thick steak fries, pretty good. great onion rings and wonderful shakes. also always a really affordable meal. i go to winsteads regularly and am never disappointed.
