Best for years. I have not yet had better fast Chinese cuisine than here. I have been coming here for 15 years. Even when my sister comes in from California to visit, this is the first place she wants to eat at and she will even bring some back to California. Can’t say enough good things about this place

Best Chinese in stl. This place is my favorite for Chinese in stl! Everything I have ordered from there has been great! But my favs are the special fried rice or the human beef. And you can order anything on their menu in a combo plate. It’s a family owned business and always very friendly.

Terrible is an understatement. Save your self the trouble and do not listen to the other reviews… This is by far the WORST food I have had in my life. I came here based on previous reviews and tried the General Tso’s Chicken. All I can say is save your self the time and just go to Wei Hong instead.

Uh, that this place sucks. I wouldnt feed it to my dying dog. It disturbs me that someone actually had the taste buds to write about how good the egg rolls were when that was probably the worst part. The hot braised chicken that was lying in a pool of Yorkshire terrier blood? Almost made me choke on my own tongue from my taste buds trying to reject it. I’d rather eat gravel.

Must try the Duck Fried Rice, best in the city maybe in the world. I’ve been eating here since I was a little boy and as a grown man it’s still some of the best fried rice I’ve ever tasted.

CHONG WAH!. This place is GANGSTER in a decidedly endearing way. When I walked in with a SLU friend, at least half of the clientele appeared unwashed and homeless, and a few were clearly under the influence of rock cocaine. One such patron periodically fidgeted wildly in his chair, and appeared to be giving signals out the front window. He held up three fingers to some men as they crept by in a weathered sedan, and then scratched his head theatrically when they gestured back. Another client took to prophesying that night’s Pick 4 numbers to all who would listen. The numbers didn’t hit (I bought a ticket at Schnuck’s later that night). The food, on the other hand, was great. They have a unique twist on their orange chicken, and it is relatively cheap to boot. The crab rangun is quite good, and almost tastes better out of the microwave the second time around. The owner is a soft-spoken and honest man. I left my debit card at the counter accidentally, and he handed it back to me with a smile when I returned to the counter for my food. My friend had asked him to keep the 20 cents change left from his payment; this was also returned to him when he got his food.I will be returning in the near future. Chong Wah offers good food at a good price, and a people-watching atmosphere unlike any I’ve yet seen.
