Bad Experience. I have been to Triumph a great many times, for the most part, the food has been good, but last night was a night from Hell. I had a reservation. I got there, on time, and the hostess seemed to be having a hard time finding someplace to sit me. So they gave me the four top next to the kitchen. Horrible place with the door swinging open and harsh light constantly hit me. The server (who was very nice) took my order, soup followed by a salad (and that’s how I asked for it). Within three minutes, my salad comes out. I explained I wanted the soup first, but it was okay and I’ll have it after the salad. Five minutes later, the soup comes out. I send it back until the salad is done. Obviously, they want my table for the Fox crowd and hope to get me out as soon as possible. And as soon as I made it clear, I wasn’t going to rush out, my water glass was never refilled. And the food was just okay. If you are on a bland diet, the Salmon Salad is for you. The spoonful of rice I had in the Gumbo was undercooked. I mentioned all this to the server who agreed I had the worst seat in the place, but gave me no compensation at all. So if you are a lone dinner, don’t go here. They don’t want you.Oh and the free wifi is sucky!

Interesting place, menu eclectic and varied. Everything I’ve tried, to date, has been great!!!

Good Eats. I got the Bonneville. The catch of the day was tilapia. I got pepper jack, lettuce, tomato, bacon and avocados. For a side I got the coriander cucumber salad. My date had Valentinos Wild Mushroom Pasta – Handmade fettuccini pasta gently tossed with truffle oil, wild mushrooms, grilled chicken breast and spinach in a roasted garlic cream sauce. We had tickets for the Fabulous Fox. We informed our server. He was attentive and got us out with plenty of time to spare. Overall it was a very good experience.

Not bad, not great. Very noisy when crowded, makes it hard to talk. Food average, nothing horrible, nothing great. Salmon flatbread had a tasty top, undercooked flatbread which was too chewy. Tuscan salad good except for an overwhelming amount of chopped red onions.. couldn’t eat it after awhile. So I’d rate it fair to average. It is better than many places around the Fox, which is saying something. Best Steak should close, same with Kota. Service can be so bad at Dooleys it’s pointless. Vito’s used to be great, now very inconsistent. Better places to eat around the Grandel area, if you please..

Noisy. Please check if there is a SLU game. If not go there it is great. If there is a game and you are going to the Fox, try somewhere else. Onion rings were over cooked on a busy night.

The food was all spicy but the atmosphere was good

2 strikes you’re out. We’ ve eaten at Triumph 4 times in 2012: in late May, Mid August, Late September, and Early November. The food is good. During the first two visits, the staff was welcoming and eager to please. However, the service was sub-par during the 2 most recent visits in September and November. The servers disappeared for extended periods and acted put out. No suggestions or informations about specialties of the restaurant were offered. McDonalds staff are more welcoming than the servers here. We wont be back.
