St. Louis diner. It seems like the customer service hasn’t changed. Get a clue Clayton bakery, you COULD(?) have the best food, but if the people that work for you are rude and ignorant to your customers, they won’t be back and new ones won’t come in!! I’ve never been there and was going to place an order for petit fours, but after reading these reviews, I’d make them myself before ever coming in your store.Too many good people out there looking for jobs!!! HELLLLLOOOO!!!!!

RUDE. I called to ask about a cake . It was like pulling teeth to get information. She was rude and I didn’t get the information I needed.

I opened an account just to write this review. I have had two experiences with this bakery. Both over the phone, and both completely rude. The first time was just a general rudeness about the employee on the other end. She could not have cared less about me or my order. I tried to ask a question and she acted like I was inconveniencing her. I thought I’d give them another chance, that maybe she was just having a bad day. The second time it was the same woman. I called to add to an existing order that someone else had made. Instead of trying to be helpful, because I didn’t know all of the information that she was asking of me to look up the order, she put the phone down and I could hear her making fun of me and insulting me to another worker. They were having a great time at my expense. I didn’t say anything and told her I would do my best to get more information and I apologized for not having what she needed. I called back about 10 mins later and she said that she left me a message. She took a completely rude tone with me and said that I didn’t tell her any of the right information. It was very accusatory and very unprofessional. I NEVER would normally say a word. Usually I would just not go back to a place that treats me poorly, but I told her that next time she puts someone on hold she might want to actually hit the hold button because I could hear everything she was saying about me and I felt that her current tone with me was unprofessional and unacceptable. I also said that I will take my business elsewhere – and I did. The next bakery was bending over backwards to help me. I will never again go back here. I work for a place that uses this bakery fairly often and have passed this experience on to my coworkers. Why would anyone patronize a place that treats the customers as an inconvenience? There are plenty of other places out there that are just as good, if not better, with far better service.

It’s like your mom learned how to bake. Great sandwiches.

Same service. I love this bakery – but I have always joked with people at my office about how horrible the attitude is of the employees. Similar to the Soup Nazi episode on Seinfeld. They don’t make any suggestions, stand and stare at you and really act like you are bothering them. The last time I was in there about a month ago the lady was nicer – but still they are not sales people. I would go more often if they were friendlier.

Clayton Bakery. I want say I am very sorry for the actions of an employee. This has not been over looked. I do not tolerate any employee being disrespectful to customers . The employee in who went off on that Monday, is no longer employed with the Bakery. I sorry for her actions. Thank you for your comments. I hope you return to the Bakery, and that you have a better experience. Thanks Again Bill Clayton owner

Debbi Campbell. I love clayton’s bakery. The woman with the problem with the m n m cookies has a definate mal-function brain problem with the way the world works. EVIDENTLY, she has been out of work for a while and does not know how the world is today. Life as we know it is coming to a halt. In other words kiss off and cook your own Damn cookies.
