It’s Not Always About The Ribs. I like the smoked meats at Rib City, but sometimes I want something different. This time it was salad. They have a smoked beef salad that’s the best of both worlds. It’s a nice size salad with sliced smoked beef on it and it’s really good. The homemade honey mustard dressing simply rocks it.
Best In West County. There are other bbq restaurants around st louis that are better but for west county rib city has my vote. The ribs are great and the sides are better than a lot of places. The pies are amazingly huge and tasty too.
More Than Just Ribs. They may be famous for their ribs but I swear the pork steak should be their headliner. I like tender pork steaks but seldom find them with any sauce glazed on to them. This place finishes their pork steaks on a grill after smoking them and the flavor is all back yard. Sides are average but the pies are awesome. Save room for some.
The Best Ribs Anywhere. I love ribs but don’t get them often because they almost all use domestic pigs that leave too much fat around the meat. Who wants to bite into a big, greasy glob of fat? They said they use lean, imported Danish ribs to get around the fatty rib problem. These folks take bbq seriously. They also have a full bar so I can get beer with my bbq.
Home Style BBQ. This restaurant serves BBQ like you would make. In the end you get a nicely glazed rib slab hot off the grill. I enjoyed the hot fries and baked beans and had a nice glass of beer with it. Definitely coming back.
Excellent. The bbq here is excellent. It is easily the second best bbq restaurant in the St. Louis area. They have a sliced, smoked beef eye of round that is super lean but has great smoke flavor. It comes on grilled garlic toast and it is delicious. Their baked beans are absolutely the best in town.
