Perfect. Ambiance delightful, food outstanding, beer/drink selection fantastic. We had charcuterie options (including turducken!) and some other small plates, sampled a ton of great craft on draft, and had excellent service. Love this place.
The Cheese Boards are out of this world. Don’t be afraid to take the staff’s recommendation. The selection of beers is great but so are the wines. Wine and cheese. Hello!? Also the Buttonwood Chicken Breast with a side of Brie mashed potatoes is about the most savory balanced dish I have had in a while. Simple but cheesy enough to keep this Wisconsinite going.
This is definitely a place where you have to go more than once to get the full experience. There’s just so much to take in and try that it just can’t be done in one visit. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, it’s great for a date night. Very classy meals and drinks.
Really enjoyed our dinner. Wine selection was at least 4 pages long and we created our own cheese board from over 15 or so varieties. The goat cheese starter was perfect and my main dish the pork belly was cooked just right. Portions were so generous we didn’t have room for dessert. Totally recommend it!!!
I went there for the beer selection and it did not disappoint. Many selections on tap, primarily local craft brews. After perusing the menu I had only apps, soft pretzels and smoked strip loin board. Good stuff.Atmosphere: hip vibe and, like others have pointed out, the acoustics make it a bit loud. I was in town on business so it made a good place for solo beer/food. Service: Prompt, attentive service. Only con was that about 8 of the 40+ beers on tap on the list were out, but server gave me a heads up to have a plan B when I ordered. Overall, if you are looking for a quiet spot, this is not your place. If you don’t mind some loud conversation and looking for good beer/wine, this is your spot.
This place was a huge win. Ate dinner here with family from out of town. Popcorn was amazing. Beer cheese with pretzels, pad thai with mushrooms, flatbread, tacos, mac and cheese. Everyone was raving. I tried the mac and cheese and it was the best I’ve had. Ever. Service was perfect. Can’t wait to come back before an event downtown!
Came here for a spontaneous group dinner with friends and it wasn’t too bad, but nothing memorable either. My friends enjoyed their drinks but when my friend asked for a drink they ran out of, they suggested a swap and it ended up being one of the most expensive options there. I hate when places do that. The scallops were tasty, but the risotto that came with it was even better. The pork belly could have been much softer and the veggies that came with it weren’t very appetizing.Incidentally the appetizers were better than the main dishes, but still nothing amazing. It would probably be fun for a happy hour or some drinks if we’re in the area–the prices aren’t too bad and it’s a nice atmosphere!
