Great atmosphere with better food. Have the oyster shooter (a shot of vodka, Bloody Mary mix, oyster) for your health and the deep-fried oyster po’boy for enjoyment. The oysters were fresh and cooked to perfection and the texture/flavor combination of the sandwich was spot on. Make sure to add a splash of tabasco to the po’boy to take it over the top. The atmosphere of the place only adds to the experience. Looks like a dive but is clean and well kept, with lower light and live music. This is a place I’ll hit every time I’m in town.
My husband and I enjoyed our meal here. Loved the building its self and the live music. The most memorable was the fried alligator! This place is a great spot for dates and hanging out.
Cold beer and good vibes. Sat outside at the bar and listened to live musician perform. Oysters and voodoo crawfish were on point. Staff was excellent.
The place is jammed! Music is great – live. Staff seems pretty engaged. Fun for a loud and very active experience. I sat on the enclosed patio, at the bar. Service and dining worked great from that vantage point – the only one I could find without waiting for a table. A caesar salad came chilled with an excellent dressing. Other food, despite a fair amount of deep fried items was delicious.Owner – you’re busy I know, but please find a way to clean up the bathrooms…. even if certain customers don’t care. ok?Thanks for a perfectly fine experience.
Amazing food and laid back vibes! Crab dip and gator-shrimp cheesecake are out of this world! As are the lobster and oyster po-boys, respectively. Drinks are also solid! And the live music was the funky cherry on top! Run don’t walk! Then eat everything!!
Broadway Oyster Bar, it was a pretty good experience. I remember coming to the Broadway oyster bar many years ago, so I had to give it an Elite Yelper’s try.I really enjoyed the experience, the food was good the best thing that I can remember is the seafood bisque. I never cared for the alligator cheesecake, it was really too salty for me. I did enjoy the seafood bisque soup that was delicious and enjoyed the lobster poor boy it was different, however, it was not full of flavors as I had hope it would be. I enjoyed it nonetheless!If I went again I would definitely try something different other than the aligator cheesecake and the lobster poor boy. The seafood bisque which was really good came with pita bread and it was awesome.When you arrive you’re gonna have to find you a parking spot. They have about 12 parking spots in the back at best. They do havr parking meters on the street so you can park at one of those meters.I do know that they are planning to expand so that’s a good thing and hopefully the parking will expand also. The customer service was pretty good, you arr going to have a wait to get your food, as the service was a little on the slow side but I can deal with that and I try to be patient. The prices are moderate and the food was good.I want to give it 3.5 stars, since that is not possible I’m giving them 3 stars and the reasons why I can is slow service and an alligator cheesecake was really salty and lobster poor boy did not have a lot of flavor to it. I love that nice butter flavor when I eat lobster and it has a sweet taste and light texture. That just wasn’t there in this sandwhich.
Very good food. Fried alligator was awesome! My dad enjoyed the oysters and my mom loved her lobster Po boy. My burger was delicious as well. Was surprised about the pear salad too, freaking tasty. Would definitely go back, cute waitress as well!
