Tried to visit tonight, got to the back to order and told it was a private party. No sign on door to let us know.

Fantastic.. You can’t find a better place to find good chocolate in St. Louis, in my humble opinion. David is casual and charming and extremely knowledgeable about his product. I particularly love the hot chocolate and the chocolates called the Fluer de Sol. Dark Chocolate wrapped in a nearly liquid caramel. Incredible. Truly a wonderful experience and just a great place to hang out downtown. Try it!

Step out of your hurried everyday life and into the charm and sophistication of the old world. I remember this shop from when it started out as a hidden gem in the Delmar Loop, and now the owner has finally found a space to suit his ambition. The current location offers a warm, inviting atmosphere with ample seating to enjoy the new beverage and dessert menu. The glass cases full of exquisite chocolates remain, and now unique artwork and sculpture enhance the sensory experience. I highly recommend the espresso blended with hot chocolate, which is perfect for a chilly day or any time you need to unwind. Can’t wait to return!

This place is a cut above the rest. Wow, I stumbled upon this place while visiting St. Louis. Talk about unique, fine chocolate, great wines and a tremendous boutique atmosphere. This is just what I needed. I got a few pieces of chocolate, a great espresso and curled up on the sofa while listening to the great music they play. I could not believe I was in St. Louis as I thought I was back in Europe. I hear they make an oustanding chocolate martini and I saw a few people ough and aow over the their hot chocolate that was made from real chocolate, but I had to leave and vowed to try it on my next visit to St. Louis. Can’t wait to get back here. Maybe the only reason I come back to St. Louis.

Great place to relax and enjoy great chocolate. I went there with my boyfriend and I couldn’tve had a better experience. The hot chocolate is amazing! The service was personal and very friendly. I went back with a friend of mine and his wife and they absolutely loved the chocolates (the only problem is they fight over who gets the last piece 🙂 They have a great atmosphere. The chocolate is all imported from Europe and showcases some of the best chocolatiers in the world. It’s a very unique experience because the chocolate is not made in shop. It provides you the opportunity to get a sweet taste of Europe from St. Louis.

This is a great place – Very European. This is not your typical fast food coffee shop. It is like the gourmet chocolate stores in Europe, with great attention to quality and detail. The owner is extremely nice and seems to genuinely care about his customers. The things I liked best is everything is quality. Unlike other places that use syrups to make hot chocolate they actually melt the chocolate and froth it in the milk, which made an exceptional hot chocolate. The chocolates are imported from around the world and current sculpture exhibit could easily be exhibited in the finest galleries. I have had the espresso and it reminded me so much of the espresso I enjoyed in Europe and not overly roasted like what I had at Espresso Mod. As for the service, it was great and friendly. I love the comfortable setting. Very relaxing. Unlike many of the Bohemian coffee shops in the neighborhood this place has class. I read the negative review and apparently this person has never been to a nice place or has a grudge about his favorite place going out of business. Sounds like he is used to buying t shirts and doesn’t own a suit. This place is definitely a cut above for St. Louis and would be at home in Paris, New York or any of the world class cities. Stongly recommend this place for a world class experience.

We went to Cafe Cioccolato after a long day downtown, and it was the perfect way to finish the trip. I had a dark hot chocolate with amaretto, a few truffles (the curry was my favorite), and bought a pear chocolate bar to take home. Everything was excellent, including the service. It felt like they genuinely appreciated our being there, even after we stayed well after close without realizing it. I’m from out of town, but I will definitely make a point of coming back next time I’m here.
