Strangely Caleco hasn’t got the attention it deserves in spite of the location and the time it stays open! They’re the only place in Downtown that I’ve seen open after 11 other than weekends.Caleco is a bar and restaurant that has music playing in the background and so you don’t really go there for the music! The bar is large enough to cater to a good number of patrons headed to a game or back since it’s just along the way and offers enough parking on the streets.The food is good and quite filling too. I tried the items from the photos I’ve posted and they were mostly delicious. The scampi was a little disappointing compared to the other entrees of the evening.
Good times at a good ole spot! Same ole place same ole good food and drinks after hours! Pizza and apps on the menu for late night. Drinks are flowing. And the atmosphere is light and enjoyable.
Great food if you want coronary artery disease. Everything was greasy and tasted like it came straight off the Sysco food truck. No thanks.
Had a great experience with a group of 14 for lunch today! Trish was our waiter and handled our large group with good and timely service. Food was excellent. We’ll be back

Always Good, Always Consistant, Always Good Prices. For the last 3 years I have travel to St. Louis 2-3 times a month for business stay downtown and always eat at Caleco’s. I recently took a business party of 14 for dinner and everyone enjoyed the variety of food and nice atmosphere. Also some of the players from the Cardinals Baseball team were eating there and were nice enough to sign autographs. Service has been good eve time except once when it was extremely business during a Cardinal Baseball game. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to eat in downtown St. Louis and get a good meal and not pay a fortune.
