Beautiful hotel lobby dining room incl an enormous wall tapestry. Nice bar scene & a big wine list. Excellent meat quality & preparation, but you do get a salad (top notch house version w/ a creamy dressing) & choice of side, to incl several potato options (try the cream cheese & dill). Friendly & quick service. Decadent, creamy desserts. Highly recommended.
We had a great meal at Carmine’s. They are willing to split the appetizers which allowed us to try several. Highly recommend the toasted ravioli and the scallops. Steaks were great! Can’t say enough about the service. My husband enjoyed his salad. Didn’t say a word to me or anyone else about the amount of brown lettuce. Server noticed and informed manager who removed it from the bill. Thanks Shannon!
Food critic with high standards. Love it. Arguably some of the best steaks in all of St. Louis. Cooked to order in 1,600 degree ovens, always prime, tender and juicy. I’ve eaten there several times and have never been disappointed. If you’re a stuck up snob who doesn’t know the real qualities of an excellent meal (like the last reviewer) you might just compensate for your inadequacies by snubbing this place. But if you enjoy fine dining, great food, and an intimate atmosphere in the heart of the city, you’ll love Carmine’s.
Iconic steakhouse fails to impress. To be short and sweet, sauces are fortified with packaged bases. House salad was mostly iceberg. Server appeared to be a fresman in high school, zero wine knowledge, rushed dinner along. Three coarses in an hour and fifteen minutes. Save your money.
Fantastic service and food. Everything cooked to perfection. Scallops were unmatched! The naked bicycle race added great entertainment!
Service was good- fish was dry, chicken covered in a lot of sauce versus a good roasted chicken.
This place is awesome. Cannot beat the service. The food was excellent. Large servings of everything. Thoroughly enjoyable experience and well worth the higher price.
