Poor excuse for an Italian restaurant. Have on several occasions had dinner at Cielo’s. On Dec 25 2014 Attended the Christmas pre fix special menu with friends and my wife. It was advertised as a traditionL Italian Christmas dinner. What was presented to us was cold , fusion crap. We sent all back to kitchen. Asked to speak with. Calitti the executive chef . Found that he was off for several days and that his assistant was preparing all meals. On Jan 25, with friends, and wife we tryed again. Food cZme out over salted and bland. When I addressed this issue with manager he was indifferent and arrogant. Once again I asked to see chef. And once again he was off. Not sure that four seasons salty all ploy a chef. We will never have dinner at Ciello again . Probably should hVe gone to Plive Garden franchise and would have been better satisfied.

Cielo is a wonderful place for breakfast/brunch. Good variety of tasty and well-prepared food on the menu. Cielo has very good Eggs Benedict. I am an E.B. traditionalist, but I loved Chef Colucci’s version: a perfect balance of potato pancake, smoked salmon, spinach, and ripe tomato under the poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. The service at Cielo is top-notch. Everyone is friendly and striving to make sure you are well-taken care of. A bonus: nice view of the Arch as you enjoy your meal, especially when the weather allows you to sit out on the rooftop patio.

Will be another sad place in St. Louis downtown. Used to be a great place to eat and enjoy the view. The food quality is going down, trying to give this place another chance and each time it is disappointing more and more. Still giving points for the view !

Attentive and professional service, lovely atmosphere, good (and pricey) but not spectacular food. We sat on the outdoor terrace as the sun set for a spectacular view of the arch and the lit up downtown. The tables are around a very shallow baby pool and fountain, and they lit a bon fire. Atmosphere was semi-private not due to enclosures but the distance between tables. Very low noise level and very good to have a conversation without straining your voice. Not a lot of price range for wines by the glass and cocktails, nothing under $10 except domestic beers. Food was good and had beautiful presentation. There were both classic and creative desserts, but none of the three we ordered were better than the norm. Appetizers were good.

Let me say this first off…The view and service were excellent. The food on the other hand was not as good as I thought it should be. I had the four course and the beef tartare small plate and pork belly were tasteless to say the least. BUT the staff was excellent and without hesitation replaced two of my courses to my liking..and I didn’t even ask him to. Very nice people. My wife had the filet. It was mediocre. Lacked flavor depth. We will be back to give it another shot though

Awesome -must try. My wife and I visited Cielo for our anniversary and I must admit I was concerned with the mixed reviews. The naysayers couldn’t be more wrong. Service was relaxed (might be slow to some – I say grab another glass of wine and refocus on the great view), the food was simply excellent, the prices were spot on and the facility is top notch. DO get a pizza for an appetizer and make sure to save room for Tiramissou. We WILL be back!!!
