I’ve been to Copia a few times over the past several years. They were closed for a long pause as they rebuilt after a fire. They were always good, but I think they’re even better since they rebuilt. On my most recent visit the server was fantastic, the food was absolutely perfect, and the entire table (5 of us) had a great time. The only negatives of our recent meal were the noise level (which included music that kept getting turned up, then down, then up…so loud the waiter couldn’t hear us), and the price tag. But when a meal is as good as ours was, the price is to be expected.

Not that Great. We went here tonight for the special Valentine’s Day with a group of 8. Our waiter told us they were busy and to expect a very rushed fast paced meal. I thought that was a little unusual first off. We asked what kind of wine he recommended for the ones who liked a sweeter wine. And he really didn’t have much wine knowledge. Then the food came out and two of our 8 had ordered steaks. Both had been cooked rare when they ordered medium. I had chicken and it was burnt. It was very bright, not like a romantic restaurant. Then at the end of our meal, the bill came. It had featured on there a service fee. Obviously we had 4 checks. Each check had a 20 dollar service fee. The waiter made 80.00 off tips of just our table. I will not go back. It was not a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend somewhere else to spend 100 dollars for two people.
Horrible Experience!!. Having previously eaten at the restaurant and enjoying the service, I contacted this establishment about hosting a birthday party at their venue. Having spoken with their event coordinators on multiple occasions, all the details of this event were finalized week of the party. Two days before my event, this establishment changed the menu offered and refused to honor the menu I originally agreed to. Additionally, when asked to review the new menu it was provided to me less than 24 hours before my event.Furthermore, the day of my event, the events coordinator stated that they could not honor the original financial terms of our agreement. When asked to speak to the manager, things turned for the worse. Not only was the manager unprofessional, he was also arrogant, disrespectful, and demeaning. Not only did he not honor the terms, his staff originally presented to me, but he also threw up amount of money his establishment made a night, how he has regular customers that spend over $100/person, and how he was the owner and his say was the only thing that mattered. Not to mention that the way in which he spoke to me was degrading, conceited, and down-right rude. When I explained that I was not trying to get over on his establishment, that my party would surely provide his establishment with the monetary contribution he was expecting, and that all I wanted was for him to honor what his staff told me, he stated that what his staff originally told me no longer mattered because he was explaining the new terms 3 hours before my event was to start.Needless to say, I cancelled my reservation with this establishment and had to find another venue last minute. I have never been so disrespected or degraded ever!! This establishment will never get my business again.
High hopes disappointed. I had high hopes in trying out Copia for Mothers Day brunch. Ive had nice meals at Copia for lunch and dinner and assumed the quality would extend to their brunch. The Good: There was a decent selection of foods. The pizza was actually the best item offered. The deserts tasted good but selection was limited. Eating in the wine garden was nice and the artwork cycling through four large screen TVs was nice. The bacon was thick and flavorful. The Bad: Poor service. We had to ask for refills and no one cleared our plates. They really werent that busy, so they must not have had enough staff. In fact our waiter was called to cut ham instead of waiting on us. The French toast and the chicken wings were burnt. The eggs were bland. The turkey looked like something youd see at a school cafeteria. The ham looked like a pre-cooked one you can buy at the grocery store. Serving biscuits and gravy in one tray is a mistake. They needed more help; it was certainly not worth the 20% service charge they imposed. They should have had their hand sliced chips available. Given the quality, selection and service, $35 per head was sorely overpriced.
Had snacks and wine in the bar, very pleasant. Asked what the house labels were, and we’re told they didn’t have house labels, they had $5 glasses, which were whatever they had opened and extra. Asked for dry red, and the bartender brought us a wonderful red. He told us what it was, but today I can’t recall. Had the cheese combo plate. Red grapes, raisins, a strawberry, and four slivers if different cheeses. Box type round crackers completed the plate. This was not a good value at $13, but considering the wine, the good service, the good music, and the atmosphere, it was a fair price for off/setting the alcohol. If we lived here, this would be a great mid-week visit.
