We were the only patrons at the place for dinner. Mediocre at best. Tried the steak modega and half the steak was silverskin and hard gristle. Potatoes were possibly cooked days before. Would have enjoyed fast food much better.
We stopped in before the cards game. Service was great until it got really busy. They just needed more staff. Sit outside for a great view. The pizza was amazing!
Awesome experience!. What a gem! We started our night with a drink in the bar. It was crowded but we were given attention right away. We then went into the dining room and had a wonderful dinner! The service was very friendly, the food was great, and dessert was off the charts. I had the homemade gooey butter cake and it was delicious. During dinner, the horse drawn carriages pass right in front of the restaurant. The owner of the restaurant was charming. He came to our table and made sure we enjoyed our night. We are so happy we found Gio’s!
OMG! The food was so bad. The place was empty. The service was confusing and mediocre. Just terrible. I went home and had a better meal eating out of my dog’s bowl.04 May, 2012By far, the worst dining experience I EVER experienced. Service=terrible, slow (23 min to get drinks); Food=appetizers were ok, salad was fine, steak was shoe leather and fat. The hostess had no idea what she was doing. A dinner that should have lasted an hour or so took 2.5 hours. It was a waste of my life. I will never go to Gio’s ever again. John Ruggeri (the chef), go back to culinary school. You have no idea how to prepare a meal.
Not Good. One word: horrible. Very expensive and very bad. Had a travelzoo coupon but it wasn’t even worth the discounted price we paid. Now I know why the place was almost empty at 7pm on a Saturday evening. I do not recommend.
