Our goal is to provide largest, very high quality, healthy, and fresh Indian buffet at the lowest possible supper special price to the community. We have set new high standards to Indian buffet as never seen before by providing large verity of Indian food in the Buffet along with having Mango Lassie (usually $2.95 or more) and Chai tea (usually $1.95 or more) freely included in the Buffet. As we believe that nothing never perfect, we continue to try to improve by adding new items and services by listening to our customer inputs, directly provide us while they are in the restaurant. Also, every thing we serve is based on over 100 years old family recipes and is very authentic and traditional. Our focus is on the flavors as done traditionally in affluent Indian families, and provide the hot (to make it chili spicy) sauce separately as done in India, as hotness of the food is a personal choice in India and traditionally vary within different members of the same family. The authentic Indian food is known for its flavors with over 15 different spices and herbs used to make them.

Amazing Generosity – Excellent Food! You Must Put It On Your List!!. It’s a long review but hopefully worth the read and helps you decide whether to eat at Mr. Curry’s. I was staying at the Hyatt Arch downtown and was craving Indian food to get away from the mundane tsteless corporate food they serve at the trade show I was attending. At 6:45PM I walked the 4 blocks from the hotel to Mr. Curry’s with the intent of getting a take-away order. When I arrived at Mr. Curry’s I was surprised to see that all of the chairs were up on the table tops and they didn’t appear to be open. I tried the door and walked in and was greeted by the Owner who graciously told me that they were closed and only open for limited evening hours over the summer. The look of disappointment on my face must have been obvious because the Owner apologized profusely and offered to put together a to-go meal for me from the afternoon’s left over buffet. I initially declined because there was another Indian restaurant nearby and I figured I’d just walk another couple of blocks and get my to-go order. I asked Mr. Curry if the other restaurant was worth the walk. He smiled a wide toothy smile and told me that he would be happy to put together a to-go meal from the buffet so I could enjoy a ‘quality’ Indian dinner. Again, I politely declined because he was obviously cleaning up for the evening and getting ready to go home. He insisted that I come in and sit down while he went to the kitchen to ‘throw something together’ for me.15 minutes later he appeared with 3 heavy bags full of food and absolutely refused to take payment for his efforts. I argued with him but he was stoic and flat refused to take my money telling me that it was the least he could do since I was visiting from out of town and had walked to his restaurant expecting a meal. He wouldn’t even take a tip for his efforts! I thanked him profusely and walked back to my hotel heavy bags full of Indian food in tow. When I got back to my room an unpacked the bags he’d given me I was genuinely amazed! There was enough food to feed a family of 8! Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Marsala, Lamb Kheema, Riatha, Basmati rice and some super spicy hot sauce on the side. Amazingly generous! So, for all of the set up how was the food, you ask? Excellent! My father is Indian and I grew up on ‘home-cooked’ Indian food. Mr. Curry’s food was delicious and the closest I have had to home-cooked Indian like my Dad and Gran used to make! The flavors were rich and correct, the sauce in the Tikka Marsala was perfectly thick and the chicken was amazingly tender! The Lamb Kheema was amazingly succulent and the Raitha and super spicy hot sauce and excellent addition to add spice or cool it all down depending on how heavy handed I was with the super spicy hot sauce. The Basmati rice was perfectly cooked and richly aromatic with cinnamon and cloves. To sum it all up (and thank you for reading this far); Mr. Curry is an amazingly generous man and is, to his word, dedicated to delivering the highest possible quality of Indian food here in St. Louis. The proof that he knows what he is doing is in the flavor! You will NOT be disappointed as it is definitely in the TOP 3 Indian restaurants I have tasted ever – no question. I travel for a living and I make it a point to find (hopefully the best) Indian food in any city I am in… I’ve probably eaten at more than 120 Indian restaurants in the US and Canada and Mr. Curry is easily in my top 3! If I were to rate him any higher I would be insulting my Dad and my Gran! Try it for yourself! I assure you, you won’t be disappointed. Thanks Mr. Curry! I’ll be back, I’ll bring my friends and customers and I’ll pay for my meal and tip BIG the next time I’m in town. I might even go back for lunch tomorrow!

Good Stuff!. We have eaten here three times – twice for the lunch buffet and once for a casual dinner. The prices can’t be beat and the quality is surprisingly good for what you pay. The atmosphere is a little off-putting at first (it is in a small home) – but the more you eat here, the more quaint it becomes. Our daughters beg us to go back!

Reservations only. I decided to take a trip to the edwardsville location. Upon arrival it was reservation only and the tables were only suitable for those under five foot tall. It reminded me of wooden play school furniture. Though the food appeared good, the clientle were a bunch of left wing liberals with their dyed garmets and Obama loving ways. This is no place for a cowboy nor anyone with a liberty loving view of the united states. If one decides to dine here make it carry out, and avert your eyes from the hippie populace that was the customer base. In all the best I can say is head to Carisillos in collinsville for Mexican.

You just can’t beat this place for a fast Indian lunch. Good food at a fair price.
