7/29 – stopped in for lunch. Decent crowd but not packed. Good atmosphere and people were friendly. I read about the wings in the Pitch and was jonesing to get there and try them out. They were good, but I wouldn’t go back for the wings alone. I might go back for a beef on weck and other menu items, but I don’t get the Korean wing thing. The wings are a good size, but its mostly breading. Unlike breading on a hooters wing, this stays crispy, but it takes away from the sauce and chicken. Another downside is you feel like you have eaten a ton of fried food, but there is only 6 dead wings on your plate. IMO, a side of bleu cheese would help too. Decent fries. Good iced tea.
I have only been here once, but loved the ambiance, staff, beer selection, and – OMG – the tilapia tacos!!! They were incredible. And I found out why… They have their very own tilapia farm in the basement! It was downright inspiring. I love this place.
Blvd Tavern is a great lunch spot if you’re working around the Crossroads. Their menu offers a nice selection and the food was delicious. It wasn’t to busy when I ate here which might be due to the fact that there is limited parking around the restaurant. If you’re in the Crossroads you should definitely make your way to Blvd Tavern!
My wife and I went for my birthday dinner and had a great time. Great decor, fantastic service, superior food. We will be returning.
