Best chinese in town. Try the Young Chow fried rice.
Love the Food!. Must have is the soft shelled crab. Great portion and great flavor.
Top 2 Chinese Restaurants. Bo Lings at that River Market is in the top two favorite restaurants in the country; and probably the best kept secret in Kansas City. The service is good, parking is easy and the price is right.
Slightly Different Menus, Still Great Quality. This is a great choice for Chinese when you are downtown. The service was great but we were seated as close to the kitchen as possible. During this heat spell being a little further away from the heat would have been nice. The only other negative was that this location did not serve bubble tea. The Zona Rosa location always has that and it can cool the parched throat nicely. Otherwise, the food was excellent.
SUSHI!. My mother and I walked to this place from the Steamboat- Enjoyed the day. The service was excellent, the staff was helpful considering I don’t eat sushi too often, though the fish was fresh and the atmosphere was wonderful. They could be expensive for dinner, though the three of us got out for just under $40 for lunch. It was well worth the money!
HAPPY HOUR. Great specials on drafts and the vegan vietnamese spring rolls w/ the peanut sauce are amazing.
Ok in a pinch. Went to City Market to go to the Blue Nile found the Blue Nile was closed on Mondays! The best thing about this restaurant is the outdoor seating. The food is ok, but not great. The lettuce appetizer is very salty but otherwise bland. The dumplings were good, but I much prefer the dumplings at Blue Koi. The duck was moist but a little bland. My boyfriend had a mai tai and it was plenty strong and definitely a good value. The service was friendly and fast. I won’t be adding this restaurant to my list of favorites, but it’s ok.
