I had a bad experience at this place. I gave them the lowest score I have given a restaurant as I dealt with employees at the register to pay that would not give me the price of the 3 items total we ordered. One item price was not on the menu. They charged me the total price and I believe overcharged me by approximately $6 but would not tell me how much my meal was. Pretty rude way to treat a customer in my opinion. The person atThe register who treated me poorly was probably the owner. I am not sure Look at my other reviews. I usually give high marks. But not where they won’t give me an itemized bill when I ask for it. Food was ok. Not bad.

Last Time I Eat Here. Arrived early on a Saturday around 7 a.m. Seated quickly – service staff was punctual and friendly – no complaint with them. Food is at very best below average. Runny scrambled eggs, no flavor hash browns, country sausage with absolutley no flavor. All very bland. My next eatery when I visited City Market will be The Diner, which is across the market and 2 blocks east of Cascone’s. Has to be better!
I’m not sure why I like, I just do…. Really, for the life of me I don’t know why I like it. Maybe its because if you get in at just the right time your family of 8 can eat there and you don’t feel like you’re putting them out for bring so many people. (I actually love it when we have to sit the kids in a both next to us instead of with us LOL.) I only eat breakfast there so I always know what to expect. The service is pretty crappy all the time and the staff is always an unorganized mess, but I still like it and I keep going back. 🙂
This place is terrible.. we walked in on a Saturday morning to have breakfast and we immediately disappointed by watery biscuits and gravy. The big Sam we could have made better if we were drunk. For a place that I hear a lot about in kc it does not live up to its rep.
I wanted to like it. I love neighborhood diners. But…bland French Toast, and ketchup soup for maranara sauce. Pleasant atmosphere.
Awesome breakfast.. A real family run Italian dinner. Don’t miss this place if you are at City Market. Ask about the bread pudding!
