The atmosphere here is beautiful. We had a small table by the window, in the summer I would love to try their outdoor seating. I was excited to go with someone who wanted to try fun and different things. We ordered the tuna ceviche tacos, duck tongue tacos, the poblano Mac and cheese, and churros and chocolate. It was fun to dabble with everything but the duck tongue was my favorite it had just a slight spice to it. I ordered the pear thee well drink. It was light and refreshing! Aaron was our waiter- he was fantastic, definitely ask for him if you can!
This is foodie heaven. A regular for us in KC. Service Saturday evening was perfection as were our small plates (we eat Tapas style). The Haloumi skewers (fried cheese like no other) in the Arugula Frisse salad are flavor bombs to start. Empanadas yum and while tonight we did not have the Duck Tongue Tacos we saw lots being served and they are one of our favorites. Persian Cucumbers pair nicely with Chickpea fries. Fresh Chicharonnes are a delight paired with Charred Corn. We finished with espressos (Cappuccino and Latte) along with Tres Leches cake. Fabulous!!
Very good tapas food. We had the tongue tacos, pork steamed buns, shrimp and peaches, sea urchin pasta, Brie and tuna tacos for entrees. Then we had churros and peach crostata for dessert. I really liked all of the entrees, but the desserts fell a little short for me. The service was good and pleasant, but don’t go in a few minutes before they open, they will make you wait. The drinks were strong and the food came out fast. I will be going back to try more options soon.
Great tapas that always had something new along with favorites. Been here many times and I love that there is always some really unique things on the menu to try. Great place to go with a group that likes to taste a wide variety of dishes.
No corkage fee for BYOB on Mondays! Plus $8 wood fired pizzas. PLUS, the pig ear salad was excellent. I had an all around great experience.
We were seated in the ‘wine room’ which helped cut down on the noise but missed out on the kitschy decor. The waitress made some excellent wine reccs and the food was fantastic. I would highly recommend the tuna ceviche tacos and pork cheeks as the highlight. However we loved every dish we ordered and covered most if the menu with the 7 people at our table.
Foodies Paradise. There aren’t enough words in the English dictionary to describe our experience here, but I will certainly try! The food was jaw-droppingly delicious. The bone marrow was insanely tasty. The pork cheek was so tender and savory. My wife and I sat at the bar and the bartender knew just about everything about the food, the ingredients the preparation style and we were enthralled to hear all about it! I wish I lived in Kansas City so my wife and I could eat here bi-weekly! We were elated to find such a wonderfully exotic menu. We will be back just as soon as we can! My suggestion to you: ask the server/bartender what they would recommend and then order it! This place has incredible tapas, order lots and lots and share with friends!
