Good place. Still…cheesesteaks are not as good as Philly but they are decent. Their Death hot sauce is made from ghost pepper extract. Took me a good 15-20 minutes to recover!
The perfect place to grab a quick bite to eat. Great outdoor patio area. Can be very busy depending on time of day but wait is never too long.
First come seating. Servers where all very pleasant. Fast service. Delicious food. Highly recommend the pizza. Tight quarters though and music is a little loud.
Love this pace. The great selection of beer, the people who go to it and most of all the pizza! It’s New York styled with huge slices that make it super tasty. You pretty much just sit wherever you want which has never really been a problem for me. Parking might get challenging but you can usually find a place close by if their parking lot is filled up.
At the recommendation of other users we tried Grinders. It was the middle of lunch rush and they were packed. The decor was grunge/punk and busy but there were all kinds of people there from goth girls to business men. I ordered the Slice of the Day, which was Meatball garlic. My husband had the pick two with the Californian BLT and Fried Goat Cheese Salad. My pizza was good, chunks of garlic and the slices were large. I should have stuck with just one. The bacon on the BLT was so good and the little fried cheese medallions were tastey. The service suffered due to the peak time and was a little clipped because of it.
Good Stuff. Atmosphere is fun and full of the soul of Crossroads. Good food and the bar is cool. I bought a bottle of Death Nectar and the Gal asked if I was serious or playing a joke on someone. Funny Stuff. It would probably be illegal to put this beyond hot liquid Death Nectar on someone’s meal without them knowing. Going to shows at the Crossroads is always worth a trip.
The food is fantastic with an emphasis on pub fare. Seating can be a challenge. This is not the Plaza, so a little kindness and courtesy will go a long way. The pizza by the slice will meet the need for hot cheesy goodness. The volume of hummus is almost enough to share. Side note: they sell their own varietals of hot sauce. It was a bit challenging to get samples, but they do make good gifts or souvenirs of Kansas City.
