The Westside Local was Not the Restaurant I Expected, But the Restaurant I Needed! The Farm-to-Table Theme is Not Only Yummy, But Good for the City. Take a Chance! Try This Casual Restaurant for Your Next Outing with Friends.
This is my all time favorite spot! This restaurant supports local! As a Westside native that is very important to me! I don’t see many local residents here but the atmosphere is positively spectacular! I rave about this restaurant to everyone I know! Nothing is bad on the menu and it changes with the season! I suggest ordering a pint of fries to go because you will be craving them later! Take advantage of the adult beverage (alcohol) pairing! The inside is gorgeous and the outside patio is no different. You might share the table with some friendly people outside but nevertheless it’s a great place. This hidden gem is great for dates, birthdays, and really any special occasion!
Thanks Zack, and everyone for the great service tonight, and thank you kitchen for the great eats. Perfect!!
Great food.. My family loved, loved the food when dining here Friday after thanksgiving. However, our waitress was very rude. Don’t know what the problem was but hope she is doing better now.
Bad Brunch Experience. Tasting Notes: Motor oil, exhaust fumes, despair. I normally love Westside Local for lunch and dinner, but I did not care for the brunch. My first order of toast came out black, so I got a replacement order which I was still unable to eat. They apparently use a sandwich press to make toast, so it comes out as soggy, oily bread with black edges. The taste would be better if there was cheese between it (they offer a grilled cheese sandwich) but oily/soggy/salty doesn’t compliment butter and jam very well. The sausage links were very bland and oily. My boyfriend ordered biscuits and gravy which were delicious. The coffee was also good, but we unfortunely had a fly land and drown in our creamer.
Midtown girl. I’ve been to The Westside Local a number of times, and each time I went had mixed feelings about the food. I absolutely love their mission to serve local food. One time that I went, the coffee tasted like sweaty armpit. I don’t recommend the burgers – they are local but they are still patties. They don’t taste fresh at all. I really want to like the place, but I just can’t!
Good food- ok service. Burger was yummy. great greens. best homemade ketchup ever! no gluten free bun 🙁 attentive service but server not knowledgeable at all about the menu- i would probably stop in again if in the area bc the food seemed my local healthy type.
