It’s exciting to see new restaurants downtown and especially authentic Mexican cuisine, but this experience and food was particularly disappointing. I previewed the menu online only to discover that the downtown location had a completely different menu…so, they didn’t have wheat tortillas as advertised; Bummer. But then, the polices were so much higher than expected! $13.50 for chicken fajitas!? Just because you’re downtown, doesn’t mean you can up charge everyone, you have to have a good product and good service.I decided in the Carne Asada because they were $13.00 and basically the same…I asked for double black beans instead of the cilantro rice and refried beans, but only received a single serving of black beans; Bummer. NO ONE at the table received ‘cilantro rice’ or the corn cake that was supposed to come with our meal. In fact, the rice was the typical red Spanish rice (with mixed veggies). Mixed veggies!? Really!? Double, Triple, Bummer. We finally did receive a corn cake (1), then another, but never the third we paid for. And, it was clearly microwaved as parts of it were screaming hot and others cold. Our server was very sweet, but INCREDIBLY slow!!! Why!? There were only three tables dining in the entire restaurant! Very confusing. I hope that the owners and staff take some of these concerns and remedy them…if not, I doubt seriously that they will last long in the downtown market. Good luck.
