Really no waitress :I have been at the Schlafly restaurant in Maplewood and this one is nothing like the other. My friend and I went here on Friday night to listen to Village Idiot & Moon Bandits we set down and no one came over to our table so we asked the lady working there if we could order food and she told us we need to go up to the bar to order it.So we ordered fish and fries , Meatloaf and fries and two glasses of tea…The bartender said we had to pay for the food now. WHAT?A few minutes later our food was brought out to our table NASTY GREASY UNDERCOOKED …..We ate about half and threw the rest away …No one ever came to our table to ask how our food was and when we wanted a refill we had to go up to the bar and was told NO MORE TEA we are out… WHAT?I have to be missing something here because I have been to dive bars that serve you this way BUT SCHLAFLY TAP ROOM with no service and nasty food like this…I understand we were sitting on the side where the bands play but it was 8 pm and no music had started yet.The lady working there could have told us we only have service in the dining room side …And we paid the same amount as the dinning room for our food , so my question to the management is WHY is there no service on this side of the bar and you still have to pay the same as the dining room but you have to serve yourself ? The people who work here don’t seem to care if the customer is happy or goes away and never returns…

This is a must visit while in St. Louis. Schlafly is a staple here and there are beers on tap you can’t get in the store. Food here is solid, mostly English pub themed but the brews are the real highlight. Sunday afternoon was quiet and service was stellar. I highly recommend trying the sticky, toffee bread pudding. It’s enough for 5.

I had lunch at Schlafly with my brother and mom and decided I would try something different. I got the shepards pie, which was not my favorite meal I have had there, but my brother and moms meal was great, as usual! Our waiter came by at the end to ask how my meal was as I had not ate much and I simply explained it was just about the only thing Iv ever ate there that I wasn’t crazy about. He apologized and came back with our bill and removed my meal and was very apologetic. Very rare that you get such great service every time you visit a bar or restaurant, always a pleasure at Schlafly! I would highly recommend, just maybe not the Shepards pie.

A great experience every time! If you are looking for a iconic St. Louis spot to take new friends or out of towners, make sure this is one of your destinations. The menu has a diverse selection that will leave you wishing you had two stomachs. Together with tasty beverages, live music and great company your night will be well spent. The Tap Room also offers a private space upstairs perfect for weddings and parties. I’ve been to a few parties and the space is breathtaking. High ceilings, big windows, and of course the local craft beer, something that you must try if you are visiting. I always bring my growler so I can take some of my favorite brew home and continue the party. Refills are cheep and you friends will thank you!

The beer is pretty good. That being said, all the servers are miserable. The food stinks has well. Stale bun, with huge piece of chicken. Nachos have a gas station cheese wiz spread in half the chips. Asked for salsa cause they forgot the pico de gallo. The sever said we don’t have salsa. Brilliant! Dry beans and worse pork. Don’t eat. Have a beer and get out
