Last night we celebrated a colleagues retirement at her favorite place. The first thing which caught my eye was the beautiful wood bench which spanned the entirety of the length of the bar – it was quite beautiful. The wait staff were incredibly friendly, but it was clear that they were unprepared for the number of guests for this event as we waited a very, very long time to receive our check (we had to ask for it) and we were never checked on once. The food however was very good! While the plating left something to be desired, it was clear by taste that everything was made in house and fresh. The sliders ($8) were delicious, even a tad pink in the middle with bacon and blue cheese spread…served with a hot pickle spear. The Samosa’s ($7) are a new menu item (don’t recommend). More pastry than filling and mostly just ground beef…the balsamic drizzle did not add much to the dish either. The Bourban Chicken Pizza is really BBQ chicken pizza and was very, very good. We also snacked on popcorn ($4) which was seasoned with Parmesan and Siracha. Overall a tasty experience and soooo much better than your typical ‘bar food’. They even had wheat, gluten free and vegetarian options.
Surprising little gem in Ferguson!
Neighborhood find. Great little place. I don’t usually go to Furguson but a friend recommended and food and service was great and the wine selection was nice.
Cork is Nothing Less than Extraordinary. First, props to the owner for opening this wine bar and foodie paradise in such an unlikely location-North County near UMSL. Second, Cork is great for veggies and non-veggies alike-the menu is always seasonal and exciting. Also, the place is relaxed and unpretentious with plenty of beer and cocktail selections for those who haven’t yet delved into wine snobbery. So, if you’re in the neighborhood and in the mood for affordable, quality, creative food then please stop by this amazing gem.
Love this place!. Excellent wine selection, fast and friendly service, wonderful food (fondue and white pizza would be my suggestions)… what not to like?! Two thumbs up!
Cute Wine Bar. Really cute set up and great wine selection. We had a bridal shower for our friend there and the food was delicious. The service was super friendly. Awesome addition to the neighborhood. capitalcookingshow.com
Fondue was very good. Wine great. The seasoned popcorn was not worth anything. Just popcorn and cajan seasoning great idea poor execution
