I like the vibe of this place. The staff, room, music, fellow diners. And the food was very fine. For me the Sunday catfish special. I selected greens and yams sides accompanied with cornbread. Some ordered the Alfredo with shrimp, handled just right not over cooked. Tremendous breaded pork chops, another Sunday special. No one in our large party was disappointed. All now are Drakes fans!
Had dinner at Drake’s Place today. The Catfish dinner was a bit hard I was told, however, it was eaten all up? I had the shrimp pasta , it came with 4 nice size shrimps laid on a bed of garlic pasta noodles, it was good, I enjoyed the garlic cheese bread! Moreover, Bridget one of the owners, provides great service and good food.It was a good clean and fun restaurant, they try to make you feel very welcomed there.They have a nice size parking area. The water is not the best, so you may want tea, which I prefer if the water is bad.

Basil chicken was good. Lemon cake was outstanding – great lemon flavor. We received a pleasant welcome and great service. We will return.
