My dad and I stopped in Hannibal on our way to Chicago from Kansas City. Just happened to walk by here and thought pizza sounded good. We ordered and had our pizza within 15 minutes. The crust was thin and cooked well. The veggie pizza was piled with vegetables! This place wasn’t the best pizza in the world, but decent for a quick stop.
A waste of $40 for an entree and cold coffee.. We were excited to eat here on our visit to Hannibal and did our research, choosing our dinner destination before we even got to town. What a disappointment. First, coffee was cold. As was the replacement cup. Then ONE of three entrees were delivered to our party of three and our waitress told us the kitchen had screwed up and made the other two in our party the wrong entrees but that they would be out shortly. The person who did get their food on time was finished eating before the second entree was delivered, while two different servers told us that the third entree was still on its way. Finally, after 45 minutes and two entrees being completely eaten, I asked two different servers to wrap my food to go. We waited another 15 minutes who’re our server stopped by again and at that point I asked if she could just remove the entree from the bill and let us pay because I was not in the mood to eat a cold, $18 entree alone in a hotel room. At that point, our waitress informed us that she had screwed up and never ordered the third entree! No effort was ever made to alert the manager on duty, as far as I know, and the staff offered no way to make it right. Our bill was over $55 for 2 entrees, served at different times. After thinking it over, I went back in and asked to speak to the manager. She offered to refund just the cheapest entree, at $15, meaning we paid $40 for ONE entree, a cold cup of coffee, and sweet tea. In all honesty, the whole experience was a cluster cuss and we won’t return. We were highly disappointed in management’s way of dealing with our issue (or rather, NOT dealing with it). I’d caution anyone thinking about eating here to go elsewhere.
Cozy place with yummy food. Nice place to relax with a glass of wine and pizza or pasta. Food has improved over past years. This isn’t Pizza Hut. Slow down and enjoy.
Love this place…nice romantic vibe. The spinach Alfredo pizza is amazing & the desserts are ALL tasty. The place is on the small side, so make a reservation if u have your heart set on dining there. They have a nice wine selection too. La Romantica red is a must try. Staff is friendly and the service is quick. The light music playing in the background is a nice touch…adding to the warm atmosphere. This place is also very clean…definitely a favorite of our family!

Brick Oven is far and away our favorite stop on the whole trip between Kansas City and Peoria. The food is excellent and offers a sophistication that is not often found in small towns. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
